Just a quick mockup of a general idea of what it would look like.

FEATURES
The Ender Jukebox (EJ) combines the properties of a Jukebox and an Ender Chest.
Like an Ender Chest a disk placed in an EJ is stored in a player specific inventory, this inventory has only one slot and only accepts music disks. This allows a player to transport music disks by placing them in one EJ and retrieving them from another.
An EJ is operated the same way as a regular jukebox.Putting a disk into an EJ will play the appropriate music associated with that disk. The player will be able to hear this music no matter how far they walk away from an EJ even if that initial EJ is destroyed. Naturally removing the disk from an EJ will stop the music like it does with a regular jukebox. In essence the player becomes the Jukebox.
Based on popular vote this music can only be heard by the player that placed the disk. The poll's still open though should you prefer otherwise.
In other words, any number of players can play side by side, each insert a different music disk into the same EJ and hear only the music that they inserted which they will heard regardless of their location, even if the EJ itself is in an unloaded chunk.
BONUS FEATURES
(Also added to the original Jukebox!)
Applying a redstone signal to the either kind of Jukebox will put it in "repeat mode." Letting the music loop endlessly until the disk is removed.
Support. I find jukeboxes to be essentially useless - I want portable music. A Minecraft Walkman.
("Repeat track" option would be nice, too.)
That would be a nice option... but I'm trying to keep the Ender Jukebox consistent with the Vanilla Jukebox which admittedly needs updating itself...
In the meantime the mechanics of the Ender Jukebox would let you:
Place the EJ down, Insert the disk. Break the EJ. Pick it up. And then go on your way.
When the music stops you can place it down, grab the disk and reinsert it to replay the music or change disks to play a different song.
But that sounds tedious. For simplicity's sake I'll just add in a feature to the regular Jukebox as well as the Ender version.

I like the idea, but does it play both at the Ender Jukebox and directly to the player or only directly to the player? I would prefer the second option as it would take away some of the use for the regular Jukebox. I'd also prefer it if when I play a song on the Ender Jukebox, other players cannot hear it when they get close to me. Just imagine playing on a server and hearing 10 different players all playing different songs at the same time. That would get irritating fast.

The music plays where the player is, not where the Ender Jukebox is.
So far majority opinion seems that people want only the music to be only heard by the individual player. So I'll edit the OP for that to be the case but I'll leave the poll up since right now it's only a sample of 5 voters.
Perhaps to make it easier, it has the same number of slots as the amount of music disks and it loops.

Maybe I'm just an grumpy old man by Minecraft standards but I'd prefer not to make it that convenient. Especially when regular Jukeboxes don't work that way.
I'd rather have Jukeboxes improved to work with hoppers and droppers so that people can build their own redstone machines to organize their playlists. Likewise some way for hoppers/droppers to work with Ender Chests (such as perhaps naming a hopper to a player's name?) so that there's consistent behavior between them and Ender Jukeboxes.
But that's content for a different suggestion honestly. I'll keep things simple in this one for now.

Support. I really hate it when I move out of range of my jukebox, I like the tunes. This would effectively kill that problem.

Some people may like listening to "Cat" for hours on end while building, and this would help them.
