Poll: Which Parts (if any) Do You Dislike?
Ended Dec 31, 2015
By the way, what do you guys think of the polls? Are they fine, or too much (or not enough)? Should I take partial support off the first poll, and just leave the last option to represent the same thing? It's up to you guys, you're the ones voting on them after all

Gonna sound like a total nerd here but my favorite part is how you arranged the poll to show which parts people like and don't like... haha but full support!
Haha don't worry, my nerd levels are over 9000 And thanks for your compliment, and your support!

Update:
Added new poll to get an idea of what parts people don't think would fit in the game

I don't think anything too unique should be added except for the ability to automatically smelt ores with a certain enchant. That's super cool. Gold tools definitely need a buff.
This is funny, you're the second person who's suggested this. I'd add it to the OP, except that that's what silk touch does. (break iron or gold ore, you get ingots. And those are the only two blocks that when you regularly mine, you get an ore).
Thanks for posting though!

Guys, in 1.9 as armor gets less durability, it loses defense points right? Does anyone think it'd be a good idea to negate that for gold armor? I might add it to the OP, but I was thinking I'd like to ask everyone first

Great idea! Or maybe make it so that gold GAINS protection as it loses durability. o_O

That could be one of the custom enchants maybe! It would add an interesting aspect to the game I think! Thanks for the suggestion! I'm gonna add that to the op

Update:
Added a new section to the suggestion/concerns sections, and the polls. Please take the time to check it out, it's called "Negating the 1.9 Durability System for Gold Armor!" Thanks!
(also, I'm going to be adding in all of the unique enchants I can think of, and that have been suggested now. That section's had enough support

I like to call the unique enchant "Last Stand" and it will have up to 3 levels. Each one increases the protection by 1/6 (1/6 on the piece of armor ,not the full armor) but I guess 3/6 is a bit OP
A new enchant! (Create a name for me cuz i don't have any ideas on my mind) this enchant will affect villagers! First of all, you have to obtain the enchant on the FULL set. IF enchanted, all the villagers within a 30-block radius will collide to you. This enchant also gives you a 50% off cost or 200% more stuff
Exemple: if a villager has a trade 8 for 1 emerald -------> 16 for 1 emerald with the enchantment
Hmm, I'm not sure about that villager enchantment. Mainly because it doesn't really encourage the use of gold tools, just the one time creation of them for when you're near villagers. Especially since the enchantment has nothing to do with the abilities of the armor itself. And what I mean by that is; the enchant isn't getting used by you using the armor (like, you use protection when you use your armor because it buffs it)

Hey guys, I've made some major revisions to the thread as a whole! It looks a lot cleaner now in my opinion! (although you guys might not even notice ) I still haven't finished adding in those new enchants that we're suggested, as I still need to do some mre testing. Sorry, I'd have had it done by now already but some things came up and I've been away for a couple days and please take the time to vote on the newest poll! So far it's only me and 1 other person.
Thanks for reading!

OOOH! How about making gold stronger than diamond and able to mine anything? Even with super-low durability, that would make it worth it.

Hehe, that certainly would make it worth it, wouldn't it? Btw, don't forget to vote on the polls!

Added a new banner! (I'm pretty sure if you right click it you can choose "copy image url" since I can't figure out how to post the BB code without it going into a picture
Made by teesee, check out his banner making thread here!

Gold swords could have an enchant called "Velocity I-II" wich would add 0.1 attack speed per level. A sharpness VII velocity I gold sword would then have a dps of 14.4, making up for a good rival to the diamond sword
I like the idea, but unfortunately I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work, due to the fact that Minecraft's invincibility timer would likely just end up making this enchantment actually a disadvantage. (not because it's a bad idea, but because Java is stupid ) However, with the new 1.9 attack speed features this might be possible. So let's keep an open mind!
BTW; the BB code for the banner isn't working yet (due to my stupidity), so if you want it for now you can just click the link to teesee's thread, since it's up on there. (I'll try and get it on here as soon as I can!)

Nice Suggestion! I agree, at the moment gold tools have little to no value. I think it would be cool if the gold tools could have innate enchantments, similar to how golden apples and carrots have special buffs. Maybe this could work with your unique enchantments? Just as an example, golden pickaxes could mine blocks from further away than normal.
Honestly, I see Gold Armor +Tools currently as a vanity item. Currently, the main use of gold is potions. Sharpness VII would do 8.75 damage, and with Unbreaking VII 210 durability. Even with your suggestion gold might be a bit obsolete(Sharpness V on a diamond sword does 14.25 damage). But in the end, gold could be used for much better things such as heal pots, such as in UHCs
