Minecraft villages have had no new structures since they were made, and if you're not into trading, the blacksmith is really the only thing you're looking for. My idea is a new structure called a bakery, it would have the same rarity as a blacksmith and would have loot that you could take.

I think this is a very good idea! I agree that villages need a new structure you can loot instead of just blacksmiths. Support!

This sounds like a good idea, but I don't see how all these food items could really be incredibly helpful. Sure, they are good for emergencies, but the carrot farms are just as beneficial.

A couple of things. You are missing the main thing you see in a bakery, ovens. Cocoa Beans should be rare (they are biome specific for a reason), eggs should be uncommon not rare (you can find eggs in just about any biome) and wheat should be common (you can't replant it, thus having it common won't hurt anything).

Interesting idea, but with the multiple farms already in villages, this renders the food inside obsolete. Kind of on the edge here. Maybe add something that other village houses don't have? Furnaces maybe?
Note- How often would these spawn in villages?

I love it, full support! I think I'll be using this structure in my single player villages because it has an authentic feel and yet it's something new and that's something Minecraft villages really need. The current villages are so worn out that a new structure or two would be like a breath of fresh air. A leather shop is another idea, but that's arguably another use for the butcher shop. The only thing missing is framed hides drying on the wall.
Forgot to add that while I love the look of the log counter, like with the butcher shop and the smithy if a bakery was ever added the counter would probably be made of stone slabs. Colder but more realistic. I still like the look of the logs better though.
I support this, but if you search on wiki any structure with loot in chest, you will see the chances in %. Anyway, the villages are boring, so this would add diversity!
I like having cake and cocoa seeds as lootable items. However, as said before, this does seem a little redundant to farms.
Blacksmith loot contains uncraftable and very rare items such as horse saddles and armour, making finding them a worthwhile task. All the other loot in a bakery is fairly easy to get hold of. I suggest adding milk buckets, which can be useful poison cures if you don't have cows yet.
Nice idea, but what type of villager will work there?
Maybe a Black Smith/Butcher type skin. but with a White Apron, and maybe a bakers hat? That's just what i thought of

one problem here-this makes the develepors need to remake entety caculation-add a new mob and a trade system, make the chances and the options of the looting chests...such more to do for this only little idea.
only making banners took mojang copule of months....
Half support for 2 reasons-good idea but really hard to make. try to make it with command blocks or ask from someone to help you.
I think it's been far too long since villages have been updated. This idea sounds like a nice update that doesn't change the game in some drastic way, so I can't see any arguments against it.

It would look like this:
Front View:
Side/Back View:
Inside views:
As for the loot, look below
1-2 Cakes - Super Rare
2-4 Cocoa Beans - Rare
2-3 Eggs - Uncommon
1-2 Sugar Cane - Uncommon
4-5 Wheat - Common
1-8 Cookies - Common
2-3 Sugar - Common
1-3 Bread - Guaranteed

Great Idea! I SUPPORT!
But Maybe not have two cakes next to the entrance, unless it is one of the rarer structures.

Yeah, that's a bit op, maybe just one cake.

It would have the same generation rate of blacksmiths if not rarer.
Very good! Even got pictures! I like the idea. It doesn't make the outside gardens pointless and adds in a bit of use.

Still not convinced on the usefulness of this.
