No Support. As others have said we already have fast methods of transport(Horses, Minecarts, Nether transport systems) and I'd rather not have go underground to get fuel all the time. Also, block collision, how wide, long and tall are the cars? Horses and minecarts are both 2 blocks tall and 1 block wide when mounted, and much of the terrain in MC is quite difficult to navigate, so I'd rather not have a large collision box impeding my movement.
Is this an endless "it is pointless if there was not blah blah blah"?
It is to show it is really really dumb to put cars in minecraft.
Minecraft does not even have stuff like muskets, cannons, and you want cars!!!!!!!!????

sorry but in my opinion cars don't fit very well in a "medieval" game like Minecraft. But if you really want to drive cars there is a mod called "Cars and Drives" that add cars and it's pretty cool in my opinion

I don't even play Minecraft much anymore yet here I am on the Minecraft forums for some reason...
Minecraft may not have a specific era, but it definitely does have a general theme, and that theme is low-tech: swords, bows & arrows, shovels, axes, etc. Even its "electronics" consists of trails of redstone dust, pistons made with wood and stone, etc., not wires or transistors. Transportation involves riding horses or pigs, or at its most advanced riding in a minecart. Cars just wouldn't feel right in that setting.
There's another aspect, also: gameplay. Travel at its simplest is walking. If you walk somewhere, you have nothing complicated to deal with, but you can carry only a limited amount and you travel slowly. Ride a horse and you travel faster, and with a donkey you can carry more, too, but you have to mess with saddles, leads, fences, and so on. Minecarts are even faster and more convenient, but they can only go where you've already laid rails, and both the materials expense and the hassle of laying them limits the extent of rail systems. (I should know; I'm kind of notorious for building railroads everywhere!) So there's a continuum from slow but hassle-free to fast but limited. These cars would have the speed and carrying capacity without any of the complications, which ends up being unbalanced in a gameplay sense. So they don't work for that reason tool.
In short, this is simply not a good addition to vanilla Minecraft. Absolutely no support.

Horses are way too tall and when you ride them you get stuck in a tree 5 seconds later. (at least in forests )
Wouldn't the Cars you suggested do the same thing as well? Get stuck in between trees and possibly have little ability to climb up small mountainsides?
Minecraft: a game where people still fight using swords and bows, use flint and steal to make fire, chop trees using an axe and drive freakin trucks and racecars!!!!!

The only 'car' type vehicle that is even viable is a jeep. That said, cars are overpowered and we have horses.

I think thats too overpowered. I don't mean to be rude, but Minecraft seems much to old fashioned to me for cars.
Minecraft has no real time period in my view. It really doesn't feel to be old fashioned, or modern, or even ancient.

I would like this idea, but 2 reasons,
1. It is way too over powered,
2. It does not fit minecraft and would unbalance the theme.
