I had a thought today about the issue of extra space in the hotbar and added time to fill two bars as opposed to one. What I came up with is a single additional item - the "Meal". You can make a Meal by crafting any drink item and any food item. It would list the ingredients that went into it, and have restoration values equal to the sum of its parts (probably using metadata). Meals stack with other Meals using the same ingredients. Thus, you can save time and inventory space.
It's a promising idea, but has some points if you combine too much food so logically you would have a great increase in the bar, but if u ever been with a little crowded bar and the "Meal" gave him more than necessary? It would be a waste of resource. And it would be required to to use: drink + food? or it could be drink + drink or food + food?

I would say only Drink + Food, and only one of each. Yes, there would be some risk of waste, but that's a resource management task. Balancing out how to get the most benefit for the least expense of materials is something best left to the player. For some people, it will be more worth it not to combine so they can get the most out of each consumable, others will throw things together to save on time/space at the expense of efficiency, and still others will end up stocking up the very best foods and drinks to combine into a Meal that can be saved until the very last possible moment to use. It's a matter of play style and available resources...which is as it should be.
Ideally, good game mechanics don't just create a problem and then offer a solution, but rather create a situation where the player is given a set of tools, and a challenge to use those tools as well as they can to achieve an outcome they deem favourable.
This is an absolutely great idea! It would add so much more great variation within biomes! Maybe you would consider adding berry bushes? And Bee Cubes with honey! That means we could add BEARS! WE NEED BEARS!

Yes, it's a good idea, but we have to work even harder. I also agree with the idea of giving several possibilities to the player and choose the one that he sees fit. The idea is quite promising, but we have to work on mechanics.

Trully, fully SUPPORT!
More bushes with fruits is a possibility to be added. Yes the idea of bears, honey is a great idea, and you could make a thread showing their ideas for us. And thank you for the support
Don't know if it will be of use to you or not, but I had this image sitting around. Made it for a suggestion I was considering but it's not going anywhere soon so I don't have any problem with you borrowing this if you want. Makes more sense than leaving it to sit around unused.
Oh :o,It will be of great help even because I had a few ideas about it. The texture with darker spots were "Blackberries", the texture more blue dots would be the "Blueberries" and more red would be "Raspberries", and purple would be "Beautyberry" what do you think? In the next update will try to put the idea of AnonTheMouse also because with the addition of new bushes, will open new revenue and more possibilities. I will find a way to fit everything, thank you.
I love this idea, we need a bit more realism like this into mc!
Oh man, thanks for support . Sometimes realism in Minecraft is barely seen by some players and well seen by others, but depends greatly on the type of realism.
Wow. I expected to see a lot more haters than this on a thirst thread. However, it seems that your idea is very well put together. It seems as if you have spent a good amount of time working on and improving your idea. As for the ideas themselves: 1.) Fruit Trees: While I particularly dislike the idea of new fruits as oranges and apples being added to the game, I love the concept of trees having a more common fruit drop, even if it is kind of easy to use TNT on Oak Trees and get apples. Also, showing the fruit on the texture of the tree is genius, especially since it gives the player an actual chance to recognize what tree it is. The drops are not hideously overpowered here. Full Support. 2.) Thirst Meter: Minecraft, after a while of experience, becomes an easy game to play, even on hardcore mode. I have always preferred a water bar suggestion, and this is no exception. Your explanation makes the entire concept seem simple but not so that it is looked upon as vague. The juices, milks, and water glasses all make it an easy way to control thirst, even if it is maybe too easily restored. The only thing that I do not understand about this is: why not just use glass bottles. You’re well on your way to being a master poster, my friend. Full Support.
*Watch out though, a mod who has had a bad day might lock this for “wishlist”.

I can not deny that when I was writing this thread already had in mind it would be crushed by "not support" and ended up surprising me.
1. I thought to myself, is not natural apples fall oaks, so the idea of having a tree specifies for each fruit can not be considered something "realistic" but "natural." And I tried to let the drops balanced means, for the fruit trees would not be easily found, would be very rare to say the truth. And besides encouraging the player or even give that pleasure to find something "rare".
2. Yes, with Minecraft time becomes means "easy" with time, and I think the Headquarters Bar could implement some more challenges and difficulties. The reasons for not using the Glass Bottle are that "could overload the item" because they are already used for potions and would still be used for drinks, I think it may even cause confusion with textures. And the other reason is that the "size" is less than a cup, what do you mean? Simple, it has seen some adventure film where the character drinks a potion and the glass is very small? So it was this thought that I had compared to the glasses, it may seem a little silly.
Yet, Thanks for the support, and especially by the words.
.
I would support only apple and palm trees (since he would like to see them in the game), but the texture of what - it is not like that. Go ahead - juices in the game do not need.

When you say "palm trees" you might not be very clear, for neither any "palm tree" gives coconuts, but all "coconut tree" which are palm trees that give coconuts, in other words, all coconut tree is a palm tree, but not every palm tree is a coconut tree.
Oh, the coconut wood texture is good.
the juices have function for the thirst bar, for that would not be necessary?

Thank you for your texture :3 Juices will quench their thirst. That's the idea. But why add glasses? The juice can and drink in a Glass Bottle.
But we are already talking about the "coconut tree". Why in the game, and other date-palms?
I've been looking for something as genius as this for a long time, and this was just like, the key was the genius, the idea was the door, and you had the key, and you opened the door!
