The Aether is one of the most commonly suggested ideas for Minecraft. Back in the old days of Minecraft,a suggestion was made to add in a anti-Nether realm known as the Aether. It became one of the largest suggestions made but as Minecraft updated; many of its ideas became obsolete. This suggestion is the spiritual successor to the original suggestion. Along with the Aether suggestion came another one that suggested a Nether overhaul. This suggestion became almost as big as the Aether suggestion but also had the same problems as Minecraft updated. I will be remaking this suggestion here as well.
Disclaimer
I'll say it now, I am well aware of the Aether mod's existence, however I do not believe that mod really goes along the line with what the original suggestion wanted. The Aether mod makes the Aether a place that makes the rest of the vanilla game pointless. There is no point in leaving because everything in the Aether is better than anything on the overworld. The mod transforms Minecraft into a new RPG in the sky; something that is no longer Minecraft. Not only that but the mod adds so much content that each update takes ages to be made. The amount of content in this suggestion is tiny compared to what is in the mod. Please try to leave the mod out of this discussion, especially if it is something dumb like "There is a mod for this you know". This suggestion is inspired by the original suggestion, not the mod.
The Aether
Like in the original suggestion, the Aether will be a dimension that consists of floating sky islands. They appear peaceful, but many of the Aether's residents are not fond of your presence and will try to attack you. Some will even hide from you. Various features can be found on top of the islands such as forests of golden trees and lakes of water. Creatures such as marbells, zephyrs and beetles roam them. But how is the Aether accessed exactly? Through the use of a portal made up of endstone. Although the original suggestion suggested glowstone to be used, glowstone is now very easy to obtain compared to back then. Also, endstone would be a good choice because now there is an actual reason to defeat the Enderdragon besides getting a temporary experience reward.
The New Nether
The Nether is quite bland. Almost all of the new content that has been added since the Nether's introduction has been put into Nether Forts. It seriously needs more content outside of these areas. The Nether should also be way more dangerous to be in compared to the overworld. Armor should basically be a requirement to be in the Nether, otherwise strong monsters such as the new salamanders and gluttons will destroy the player. The new monsters won't out mode the old ones either for the old monsters, such as ghasts, will be stronger than they ever were. Now everything besides fire and lava will be unique to the Nether. Things like gravel and mushrooms will be replaced with more hazardous versions of them such as embers and mushraves.
Requirements: Sky light level of 8 or higher (for grass)
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 3
Hardness: 0.6
Tool: Wooden Shovel
Flammable: No
Description: Sky grass and sky soil make up the top surface of the floating islands of the Aether. A special feature of sky grass/soil is that a golden hoe is required in order to till sky soil. Tilled sky soil has a special use but can't be used for normal crops.
Aetherock
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 30
Hardness: 1.5
Tool: Wooden Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: Aetherock makes up the insides and undersides of the floating islands. There is nothing really special about it, but smelting Aetherock will yield Aether brick which can be used to craft Aether brick blocks.
Aether Brick
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 30
Hardness: 1.5
Tool: Wooden Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: Aether brick is a purplish brick block that can be seen as the opposite of Nether brick. It can be artificially made by using four Aether bricks. It can also be found making up the floating Aether labyrinths.
Floatsand
Requirements: None
Gravity: Yes*
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 2.5
Hardness: 0.5
Tool: Golden Shovel and Silk Touch Shovel
Flammable: No
Description: Floatsand is a very peculiar material as it had the tendency to "fall" up. This makes it semi dangerous to collect because it can be found under the overhangs that form on the floating islands. It can also generate underground; which is a much safer place the look for it. When smelted it creates prism glass.
Prism Glass
Requirements: None
Gravity: Yes*
Transparency: Yes
Blast Resistance: 2.5
Hardness: 0.5
Tool: None
Flammable: No
Description: Prism glass is incredibly strange for its true form is rarely seen. Prism glass takes on the appearance of the block it is facing. The block faces the direction of the block it was placed on (similar to how logs work). If facing another prism glass or air block, then it will appear as its natural form. Another attribute of prism glass is that it can be walked through. This makes it a great block to use to make secret passages and hidden light sources. It can't be used for pitfall traps because, being made of floatsand, it floats upwards. So the material can only really be placed on walls or ceilings unless the player blocks it off with a sign or some other nonsolid block, but this is a dead giveaway. Although it appears solid, light can still pass through it. This is helpful when making hidden light sources, but not so much when making secret passages.
Glazed Soil
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Blast Resistance: 3
Hardness: 0.6
Tool: Golden Shovel & Silk Touch Shovel
Flammable: No
Description: Based off of the original idea of quick soil. On some of the edges of the Aether's floating islands are parts of land that are covered in a slippery substance. This substance makes the ground four times more slippery than ice. It's so slippery that not even sneaking will prevent the player from falling off the ledge of the block. If you are ever walking on this stuff, be very cautious.
Permafrost Crystal
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: Yes
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 2.5
Hardness: 0.5
Tool: Stone Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: A very bizarre material that grows out of the ground like a cactus. Breaking them with silk touch tools will yield a whole blocks. Without silk touch they yield frost shards. The blocks can be placed anywhere, but only placing them on sky grass will allow them to grow. If the player touches a crystal block for too long then they will freeze for a short while. Permafrost crystals also slowly freeze water and lava (does not work in the Nether) blocks within a four block radius.
Holy Logs/Leaves/Wood
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 10
Hardness: 2
Tool: Golden Axe and Silk Touch Axe
Flammable: No
Description: Holy Trees are the trees of the Aether. Their logs can only be collected by golden and silk touch axes. The logs are also nonflammable and can make nonflammable planks. In plank form they can be harvested by any tool.
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: Partial (-1)
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 1
Hardness: 0.2
Tool: Shears
Flammable: No
Description:
The leaves of holy trees also can't be combusted. Shears can be used to collect them. When they naturally decay or are broken then they have chance to drop a sapling or a very rare chance of dropping a golden apple (normal, not Notch). It's not very farmable and is more of a "nice find".
Amethyst Ore/Block
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 15
Hardness: 3
Tool: Golden Pickaxe or Silktouch Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: Much like how quartz is found in the Nether, Amethyst is found in the Aether (Interesting fact: Amethyst is just a variation of quartz). It can be mined with a golden or silktouch pickaxe. Breaking it with a golden pickaxe will make the ore drop an amethyst gem. If a silk touch pick is used then it will drop the amethyst ore block which can be smelted into an amethyst gem. Which has various crafting purposes. It should be noted that Amethyst ore is quite rare, it is found inside of the floating islands but it is sometimes exposed to air.
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 30
Hardness: 5
Tool: Iron Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: A block made of nine amethyst gems.
Aetherose & Puffnea
Requirements: Sky Grass
Gravity: No
Transparency: Yes
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 0
Hardness: 0
Tool: None
Flammable: No
Description: The flowers of the Aether are the Aetherose and the Puffnea. The Aetherose can be used to make magenta dye and the puffnea can make light blue dye.
Nectar
Requirements: None
Gravity: Yes (Liquid)
Transparency: Yes
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 300
Horizontal Flow Distance: 5
Tool: Golden Bucket
Flammable: No
Description: Nectar is a rare liquid found in the Aether. It is found in medium sized pools on some islands. It can only be picked up by a golden bucket which is found in the Nether. If an Iron bucket is used then it will only pick up water. Nectar will cause all mobs and players to gain health even if their saturation and or hunger value is too low for natural regeneration. It can be picked up in a bowl as well. Drinking it will remove only bad status effects thus acting as an upgrade to milk. Nectar can also be used for farming with sky soil. If it is near tilled sky soil then the soil will become saturated. This will speed up crops growing in tilled sky soil. Nectar is affected by sponges. Like water, nectar can be made into infinite springs.
Reactivity: When nectar touches these other liquids these reactions will occur.
Water Source becomes ice when touched by nectar
Water Flow becomes snow when touched by nectar
Lava Source becomes obsidian when touched by nectar
Lava Flow becomes cobblestone when touched by nectar
Nectar Source becomes stone when touched by acid flow
Nectar Flow becomes cobble stone when touched by acid
Nectar Source becomes glowing obsidian when touched by acid source
Description: Marbells are large, iron golem esque mobs. They are not super common but can be found anywhere within the Aether. Occasionally they will offer the player a flower and rarely a useful item such as a golden apple or diamond. Right clicking the held item will take it and add it to the inventory. When damaged by a player the marbell will be angered and attack back by throwing the player into the air much like how and iron golem attacks. There is also an angry variant that is naturally aggressive, look for the angry eyes!
Aerwhale

20 (10 Hearts) Normal
30 (15 Hearts) Hard
Knockback Resistance: 1.0
Spawn: Anywhere in the Aether (Air), Rare
Drops: 1 Gas Bladder
Description: From the original Aether suggestion; it's the aerwhale. Aerwhales floatabout the skies of the Aether. They never go withing 10 blocks of solid land. Although they are passive, if the player flies into them with a balloon, then they will deal out a large amount of damage. Aerwhales also take no knockback.
Zephyr
Behavior: Aggressive
Health: 20 (10Hearts)
Speed: 3.0 Blocks/sec
Attacks:
Iceball:
5 (2.5 Hearts) Freeze Chance 0% Easy
7 (3.5 Hearts) Freeze Chance 25% Normal
9 (4.5 Hearts) Freeze Chance 50% Hard
Contact:
4 (2 Hearts) Easy
6 (3 Hearts) Normal
8 (4 Hearts) Hard
Spawn: Anywhere in the Aether, Uncommon
Drops: 0-3 Cloud Puff
Description: Zephyrs are an aggressive mob of the Aether that hovers above the ground. They behave much like a blaze does except for the fact that they freeze their targets as opposed to catching them on fire. Be careful, when they see you, they are capable of flight and will shoot when you are in range. So you are not safe while inside a balloon.
Sprite
Behavior: Aggressive
Health: 5 (2.5 Hearts)
Speed: 5.4 Blocks/sec
Attack:
2 (1 Heart) Easy
4 (2 Hearts) Normal
6 (3 Hearts) Hard

Drops: 0-1 Sprite Twig
Description: Sprites are a more rare hostile mob but come in large groups. They are like baby zombies but have much less health and do less damage. Be careful not to get pushed off the ledge.
Beetle
Behavior: Aggressive
Health: 30 (15 Hearts)
Defense: 30%
Speed: 3-10 Blocks/sec
Attack:
Horn Attack
10 (5 Hearts) Easy
12 (6 Hearts) Normal
14 (7 Hearts) Hard
Charge:
14 (7 Hearts) Easy
20 (10 Hearts) Normal
26 (13 Hearts) Hard
Knockback Resistance: .5
Spawn: Anywhere in the Aether, Rare
Drops: 0-1 Beetle Horn
Description: This is a beast that demands respect. It's larger than a horse and it can go up one block slopes without the need to jump. They appear to be rather calm at first but when the player gets near them they will start to turn and look at the player. If the player stays near them too long then they will charge at them. The beetle's charge attack is devastating for it does tons of damage and knockback. Dodging the beetle's charge is the key to defeating it. After charging the beetle is tired and stands still for a while. This is when it can be attacked. Watch out though, it will soon recover. The beetle also has a horn attack that hits knocks players back but doesn't nearly as much damage. The attack is used when the player is too close to be charged at. While in its charge ready stance, the beetle will always face the closest player to it.
Sentry
Behavior: Aggressive
Health: 8 (4 Hearts)
Speed: 4.0 Blocks/sec
Attack: No damage but...
Weak Knockback - Easy
Moderate Knockback Normal
Strong Knockback - Hard
Spawn: Common (Labyrinths), Rare (Everywhere else in the Aether)
Drops: 0-1 Thunder Orb (uncommon)
Description: Sentries were a mob discussed on the original Aether topic. Sentries guard the exterior and interior of the Aether opposite of Nether Forts: Aether Labyrinths. They attempt to prevent players from progressing through the maze by firing orbs that knock the player back and perhaps down an abyss. They have a small chance of spawning outside of labyrinths as well so look out.
Mini Boss: Aether Spirit
Behavior: Aggressive
Health: 80 (40 Hearts)
Speed: Up to 10 Blocks/sec
Attacks:
Iceball:
5 (2.5 Hearts) + 10% Freeze Chance - Easy
6 (3 Hearts) + 15% Freeze Chance - Normal
7 (3.5 Hearts) + 20% Freeze Chance - Hard
Thunder Orb
18 (9 Hearts) + Lightning (All Difficulties)
Spawn: In the air (extremely rare)
Drops: 500 Exp, 10 Thunder Orbs
Description: Roughly the size of a 2X2X2 cube, this miniboss slowly flies through the air until it spots a player. It can see 50 blocks far but when it spots a player it will quickly rush to a player and try to keep a distance of about 10 blocks from the player while slowly moving in a circle around them. It keeps its distance from players and will occasionally fire ice balls at them (about one every two seconds). If the player is moving it will attempt to predict where the player will be when it shoots. It's too far from the player to be hit by melee attacks. It also has a dangerous thunder orb attack. When it's about to fire a thunder orb the Aether spirit will glow a blue color and stand still. This is a big opportunity to hit it. If it's hit then it won't be able to fire the projectile. Beware though, if the orb does fire, then it hits almost instantly. Don't give it the opportunity to fire it by hitting it before so. Killing the spirit has a great exp reward and items that are normally very rare. An achievement is also awarded to those who kill one.
Amethyst is a precious gem found in the Aether. It has various crafting purposes and can be turned into amethyst blocks by using nine gems of it. Other crafting purposes include two redstone devices, and a new weapon.
Frost Shards
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Breaking Crystal with a Golden Pickaxe
Description: Frost Shards are very cold and react with liquid when thrown into them. When water is right clicked with a crystal shard, then it will become ice. If lava is right clicked with a frost shard then it will become obsidian (this does not work in the Nether). When crafted with slime an ice ball is made. Frost shards can also be used to create Fright Shard Soup.
Marbell Core
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Killing a marbell.
Description: These are the hearts of marbells. They have a small chance of being dropped by a marbell when they are killed. They are used to brew absorption potions which can be corrupted with fermented spider eyes to make health boost potions.
Gas Sac & Balloon
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Killing Aerwhales
Description: Gas sacs are dropped by aerwhales when they are killed. They are used to create balloons.
Stackable: No
Obtained By: Crafting
Description: Balloons are used to fly through the sky. Their primary use is in the Aether in which they can be used to move from island to island. In the Aether balloons travel rather fast, about twice the speed as walking. Their rising and descending speed are about half that. To rise the player holds the jump key, to descend the player holds the sprint key. When in the overworld or Nether the balloon travels very slowly, in fact it's so slow the player is better off not using it. Horizontal movement is only 1/2 a block per second and vertical is only 1/4 a block per second.
Beetle Horn
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Killing a Beetle
Description: Beetle horns can be used to make resistance potions. That's all there really is to them.
Sprite Twig
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Killing a Sprite
Description: These can be planted into the ground. They don't do anything until bone meal is applied to them. Bone meal has a chance to cause it to become a sprite sprout. These sprites stand on their original location and attack monsters (but not creepers) that go within 16 blocks of their origin. After defeating a mob they will return to their original location. With scoreboard teams, sprouts will be the same team color as the player that grew them and the sprouts will attack opposing team members as well.
Iceball
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Crafting
Description: For use by the Nether Cannon
Cloud Puff
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Killing a Zephyr
Description: For use by the Nether Cannon
Thunder Orb
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Killing an Aether Spirit or found inside Aether Labyrinth chests
Description: For use by the Nether Cannon
Aether Staff
Durability: 256
Obtained By: Crafting
Description: The Aether staff is a more more melee oriented as opposed to the Nether launcher. A direct hit from the Aether staff only does as much damaged as a stone sword which is rather pathetic. This weapon's main use arises when it is enchanted. It can only be enchanted by a level 30 enchantment. When enchanted it will gain an offensive spell and a defensive spell. The offensive spell is used when left clicked with it and the defensive spell is used when right clicked with it. When a spell is used it takes about 20 seconds for it to recharge. Each spell type uses the same charge so the defensive spell cannot be used while the offensive one is the one that caused the staff to recharge and vise versa. All staffs in the inventory share the same charge as well. There are five offensive spells and five defensive spells. A staff can have any combination of a defensive and offensive spell. The staff does recharge while it is not being held so the player can use other weapons as it recharges.
Offensive Spells
These spells are activated by using the Aether staff while it is in the main hand.
Laser
Use: 2 Durability
The staff will hit the closest target with a beam that will lock on and begin to charge up. Once fully charged the beam will hurt that target by 9(4.5H). This attack is very similar to the Guardian mob's laser attack and will lose focus if the target gets too far.
Drain
Use: 1 Durability
Hit a target with the Staff will make the player drain 5 health from the target. Armor worn by the target does reduce the amount of health drained from target as it reduces damage done to the target.
Lunge
Use: 4 Durability
Using this spell will fling the player in the direction where they are looking and make them glow red. Any mobs or players hit by the charging player will take 11 damage (6H) and massive knock back. Good for catching up to running players or for an extra jump.
Acid
Use: 2 Durability
The staff fires a spread of acid in front of the player. This attack is similar to the Enderdragon's acid breath attack. The acid lasts about 4 seconds and anything within the spray takes continuous damage of about 6 damage (3H) per second. This damage does not cause knock back. If it hits players, then their armor will take extra damage compared to other attacks.
Toss
Use: 3 Durability
Hitting a target with the staff will throw them up into the air. This is similar to how iron golems attack. It only does 8 damage (4H) but the target will also take fall damage when they land.
Defensive Spells
These spells are activated when the player uses the staff in the off hand.
Reflect
Use: 1 Durability
Shoots projectiles right back at the target that fired it at twice the speed and with a refreshed range.
Teleport
Use: 2 Durability
Teleports the player instead of taking damage. The teleportation range is 10 blocks (radius) around the player. The valid teleportation spots is similar to Endermen's so it won't teleport the player in solid blocks or mid air.
Blast
Use: 3 Durability
Using this spell will knock back all nearby mobs and players by 7 blocks. A nice way to get out of a fray.
Invulnerable
Use: 6 Durability
The next hit will be completely shielded.
Freezer Burn
Use: 3 Durability
The target that hits you will be frozen or set aflame. Not activated by ranged attacks.
You may have noticed the mentioning of freezing in a few of the above entries. Freezing is an entirely new mechanic in Minecraft. Unlike most recent status effects, freezing is not a potion effect. In technical terms freezing has more in common with fire as when a mob is affected with freeze it gains a tick timer. Things that cause freezing will make it happen for 3 seconds.
While frozen a player/mob cannot move and if they were moving then they will slide for a while as if they were standing on ice. Frozen entities are very vulnerable to attack but the ice around them provides a small bit of armor (1/2 an armor point). Frozen entities that are hit by a fire inducing hit will thaw out instantly. A frozen player can break out of freeze by rapidly clicking. Five clicks will break the player out of freeze so they don't have to wait 3 seconds to thaw.
Things that cause freezing only have a small chance of inducing it. The maximum chance freezing can be done by a player is 25% through the use of iceballs. Zephyrs have a maximum chance of 50% to freeze targets. Touching a crystal block for five seconds will cause non-freeze proof mobs to freeze. All Aether mobs are freeze proof similarly to how all Nether mobs are fire proof. There are various new enchantments that affect freezing, they are:
Frost Aspect: A more rare sword enchantment that is only capable of going up to level two. Level one has a 5% chance to freeze on hit and level two has a 10% chance.
Freeze: A more rare bow enchantment only capable of reaching level one. Freezing has a 15% chance to freeze targets.
Antifreeze: A rare armor enchantment capable of reaching up to level two. It lowers the chance of being frozen by 1/4 and by 1/2 at level 2. It does not stack and can only be applied to chest plates.
Corrupting fire resistance potions now yields frost resistance potions instead of slowness potions. Frost resistance grants immunity to freezing and ice damage for a while.
Labyrinths
These were somewhat mentioned in the Sentry's description. They are found floating in the sky and usually not touching land from a sky island but with random generation it may occur from time to time. Aether Labyrinths can be seen as the Aether counterpart to Nether Forts.
The main part of the labyrinth is the interior. Many sentries reside inside of them and they will attempt to prevent the player from progressing through them. Every labyrinth has three maze floors, a pit and a treasure room. The mazes are randomly generated and have many treasures within them. The maze floors also have many holes in the floor in which sentries may knock the player into. The first floor's holes lead into a large and empty room which has a staircase back to floor one. Each maze floor also has a ladder that leads to the next floor.
The highest floor is a treasure room and all three maze floors need to be scaled in order to get to the top. At the top is 2 angry marbells that will attack the player on sight. Kill both of them to safely get the treasure. The treasure has many goods that are from the Aether including the rare thunder orb. Trying to break in through the top of the labyrinth is very dangerous as it has many sentries on top of it. They will not hesitate to knock the player off.
Bright
The Aether has light coming not only from the top of the world, but from the bottom as well. This is necessary in order to prevent giant dark spots within the Aether. This will also prevent lag from occurring when blocks are placed over the abyss.
Not only does light come from the top and bottom, but the minimal light level in the Aether is 8. Even if an area is closed off from all light sources, the light level will not go lower than 8.
Music
The music in the Aether uses the creative mode music. Although they are the same music tracks, the files are different thus allowing people to make resource packs that have different creative and different Aether music.
Travel
Each block in the Nether is considered 8 blocks on the overworld. This make the Nether a good way to travel fast. The Aether is the opposite and each block in the Aether is considered only 1/8 of a block on the overworld. This makes a way to get across the large empty gaps that can occur within the Aether without the need of a balloon. Nether portals can't be made in the Aether and Aether portals can't be made in the Nether.
Fire Proof
Like how water and ice can't exist in the Nether, fire and lava can't exist in the Aether. If lava is placed in the Aether it will instantly become obsidian. Fire will instantly be extinguished.
Gold Tools
You may have noticed that many of the blocks of the Aether required gold tools to be collected. All tool types can break these blocks, but only gold can collect them. The silk touch enchantment can allow other tools to collect these blocks too.
Description: Embers replace the gravel that generated in the Nether. Like gravel it is affected by gravity. Embers are hot and will cause direct fire damage to players and non-fireproof mobs. Damage can be avoided by using fire resistance potions and fire protection boots. Wooden shovels can't be used to dig up embers as they burn up before they can dig it up. So only stone shovels and better can dig up embers. Item drops that touch embers will also be destroyed. If water touches embers (can only happen outside of the Nether) then it will become an ash block, which is completely useless. Ash blocks can be reverted into embers by making lava touch them. If both water and lava are touching an ember block it will be ash.
Soul Glass
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: Partial (-2)
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 2.5
Hardness: 0.5
Tool: Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: Soul glass is obtained by smelting soul sand. It allows light to pass through it but, like ice, it will cause the light to dim. It looks nice on Nether themed builds.
Mushraves
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: Yes
Light: 7
Blast Resistance: 0
Hardness: 0.3
Tool: None
Flammable: No
Description: Mushraves replace the normal mushrooms of the Nether. There are three kinds: red, blue and green. Mushraves may looks cool but they have some nasty effects they give when a player is within the light they give off. Each kind of Mushrave gives off a unique bad effect.
Red: Weakness 2
Blue: Slowness 2
Green: Mining Fatigue 2
Mushraves are a little tough, so they take longer to break than other "plant" blocks. They also spread over time when there is not very many mushraves of the same kind nearby. A single type of mushrave will continue to spread until a cluster of eight is formed. Spreading of one type of mushrave is not stopped by other kinds of mushraves, so it's safe to have them share the same farming grounds. Craft all three mushraves together for something truly nasty to eat. They do not give off their bad effects while inside flower pots.
Fright Bulb Weed
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: Yes
Light: 0
Blast Resistance: 0
Hardness: 0
Tool: None, Shears
Flammable:
Description: Don't step on their frilly sprouts. If you do, then they will explode. Nether mobs can't be tricked and will actively avoid fright bulb sprouts. Their dark colors are hard to see in the darkness of the Nether so players must keep their eyes peeled unless they want to be toast. The explosions from fright bulbs are smaller than creeper explosions and do not damage blocks but do damage entities. Fright bulb seeds can be collected if the weed is broken with shears.
Description: In the original New Nether suggestion a new liquid was introduced: Midas Tears. Although cool, it would be unbalanced to have such a thing exist within current Minecraft. Instead I bring you acid. Acid is a liquid that generates in medium sized pools in the top and bottom layers of the Nether and is usually found in caves. It also rarely appears in small 1X1X1 pockets within solid Netherrack like how lava does. Acid is similar to lava as is damages players and mobs, but it does so at a slightly lower rate (about half the speed). It even damages Nether mobs. Acid is unique as it causes massive amounts of durability damage to the player's armor and any tools currently in their hands. Not even the bucket can pick up acid as it destroys it. Only special golden buckets found within Nether Forts can pick it up. Acid explodes when it touches lava in the Nether. The explosion is small and causes no damage but all connected acid blocks are quickly destroyed in a chain reaction. Acid also cools down embers into ash. Sponge does not affect acid. Like lava, Acid can't be made into infinite springs.
Reactivity: When Acid touches these other liquids these reactions will occur.
Water Source becomes stone when touched by acid
Water Flow becomes cobblestone when touched by acid
Lava Source becomes obsidian (when not in the Nether)
Lava Flow becomes cobblestone (when not in the Nether)
Nectar Source becomes stone when touched by acid
Nectar Flow becomes cobble stone when touched by acid
Nectar Source becomes glowing obsidian when touched by acid source
Acid Source becomes soul sand when touched by any liquid except Nectar source, Nether exceptions apply
Acid Flow becomes Netherrack when touched by any liquid, Nether exceptions apply
Zombie Pigmen don't only hold golden swords; now they can hold golden pickaxes, shovels and axes. These ones do less damage as their tools are not as strong. Easier difficulties have more pigmen spawn with weaker tools like shovels and picks while harder difficulties have more holding swords and axes.
Ghast
Ghasts now have 20 health instead of 10. This makes them somewhat threatening again.
Magma Cube
Large magma cubes are given full knockback resistance. They also cause miniature shockwaves when they land. Normal size cubes have some knockback resistance and cause damage by touching the player. Mini magma cubes also do damage, but it isn't much.
Wither Skeleton
Normal skeletons no longer spawn in the Nether. Instead, wither skeletons armed with bows replace them. Wither skeletons with bows shoot fire arrows even though their bows are not enchanted. Wither skeletons also have a chance to spawn outside of Nether Forts now; albeit it is a bit rare.
Blaze
Blazes now will only attempt to shoot at a player if the player is not behind an object. The blaze will also retreat while it is refreshing its shots. Blazes also have a small chance of spawning outside of Nether Forts.
Salamander
Behavior: Aggressive

Spawn: Anywhere in the Nether (both land and in lava), Uncommon
Drops: 0-2 Asbestoskin
Description: These giant creatures a slow on land but fast when swimming in the lava, they also spawn on both land and in the lava so watch out near the shores. They have two methods of attack, one is biting at a player. A salamander bites when a player gets too close to them. Their bite is incredibly painful and good armor is a recommended thing to have. Salamanders can also spit acid, no they do not shoot retextured fireballs. Instead they do a move very similar to the Ender Dragon's acid breath. This attack sprays an area in front of the salamander in green particles, any entity within the area will take damage over time. Armor will take heavy damage while inside of the acid spray. The acid spray does not cause knockback so it doesn't knock players out of it; instead players must get themselves out of it. A full set of gold armor makes the player immune to the spray and gold armor does not take damage from it either. When a salamander is spitting acid it can't turn, thus making it vulnerable to attack. You can tell when a salamander is about to spit acid when its mouth opens. Charging won't take these guys down.
Glutton
Behavior: Aggressive
Health: 20 (10 Hearts)
Speed: 1.3 - 6.7 Blocks/sec
Attack:
7 (4.5 Hearts), May steal 1 Food Item
13 (6.5 Hearts), Steal up to 2 Food Items
17 (8.5 Hearts), Steal up to 3 Food Items
Spawn: Anywhere in the Nether, Uncommon
Drops: 0-2 Sweet Tooth, 0-# of Stolen Food
Description: Gluttons are small, fast and very hungry mobs. They will sprint at a player and attack with their massive jaws. Not only do they do damage but they will also take food items from a player's inventory and try to run away with it. Killing them may give back a few of the stolen food items, but it is not likely. If the player has multiple food items in their inventory than it is random what the glutton will take. If a glutton takes a food item that gives a debuff then they will get that debuff. If a glutton eats a golden apple, than it will gain the apple's effects.
The saturation and hunger potion effects have peculiar effects to gluttons. Saturation will instantly make them passive, but hunger will cause them to take more items from the player per attack.
Mini Boss: Nether Wurm
Behavior: Aggressive
Health: 80 (40 Hearts)
Speed: 5 Blocks/sec
Attack:
16 (8 Hearts) - Easy
19 (9.5 Hearts) - Normal
25 (12.5 Hearts) - Hard
Spawn: Inside Soulsand (extremely rare)
Drops: 500 Exp, 3-5 Potions of Decay
Description: A rare miniboss mob of the Nether. They rarely move when a player is not in their 30 block detection range. They are 20 blocks long and can dig through soulsand and other soil blocks such as dirt (They can see through them as well). Their ability to dig through soulsand is similar to the worm enemies of Terraria in which the mob moves through the blocks as if swimming (this does not cause block destruction). The digging of a Nether wurm makes a very distinct noise thus warning players. Nether wurms are not capable of digging through hard blocks such as Netherack and stone so the best way to deal with them is by tricking them to move out of their sandy homes. On solid land they move very fast and will pursue players. They can leap pretty high too, up to 5 blocks, making it hard to get away. However, they do not have the ability to make sharp turns. So if the player dodges the wurm's attack; the player can hack at its long body and do large amounts of damage to it. Killing a Nether wurm yields high amounts of experience and potions of decay. An achievement is also awarded to those who kill one.
Description: Sweet teeth have a chance to be dropped from gluttons when they are killed. A sweet tooth is used in the brewing stand to make saturation potions. Saturation potions can also be corrupted with fermented spider eyes to create hunger potions.
Quartz Beans
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Crafting
Description: Although they are not made from new Nether materials they are new items made from Nether materials. Quartz beans are made by crafting cocoa beans with quartz. They are used to make haste potions which can be used to make mining fatigue potions.
Fright Bulb Seeds
Stackable: Yes
Obtained by: Breaking fright bulb sprouts with shears
Description: The seeds of the fright bulb. They can be planted onto any stone or dirt like block (not wood and metal though). When planted they will eventually mature. When mature they become primed and anything that touches the sprout will cause it to explode. Fright bulb seeds can also be planted in tilled sky soil which has a special effect. When a fright bulb is growing in sky soil it will not become primed when mature. This makes it so that they will not explode when stepped on or when broken without using shears. They will also keep the explosive root of the fright bulb intact. This is the ideal way to farm fright bulbs.
Fright Bulb
Stackable: Yes (8)
Obtained By: Harvesting fright bulb crops
Description: Its the very root itself. Without its sensitive sprout it's safe to hold but throwing it will cause it to explode 2 seconds after impact. They are thrown farther than potions but not as far as snowballs. The explosion acts the same as the block form of the fright bulb; it damages entities but not blocks.
Fright Shard Soup
Stackable: No
Obtained By: Crafting
Description: Three fright bulbs, and three frost shards and one bowl will make this odd dish. It fills three hunger sticks but also gives random effects whenever eaten. When consumed it will give one good effect (speed, strength, haste, water breathing, etc) and one bad effect (slowness, blindness, nausea, weakness, etc) for 30 seconds (Unless it is an instant effect like instant health/damage). All effects given by fright shard soup are at level three (when applicable). Eating it is a gamble, but it might be worth it.
Abestoskin & Lava Boats
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Killing Salamanders
Description: Abestoskin in the skin of the fire proof salamanders. It can be used to craft lava boats by combining five of them with a minecart.
Stackable: No
Obtained By: Crafting
Description: Lava boats are completely immune to fire, allowing them to surf on the surface of lava. This can be helpful to players who want to go across the lava ocean of the Nether. Unfortunately the player still needs to use fire resistance potions to prevent fire damage while inside the boat (the boat may be fireproof but the player is not; this is why fire resistance is still needed). The speed of the lava boat is much faster than the swimming speed through lava; it's about the same speed as sprinting speed on land. Look out for floating salamanders in the lava, they will attack boaters and may break the boat.
Rave Gel
Stackable: Yes
Obtained by: Crafting
Description: Rave gel is the mixture of all three kinds of mushrave. It's so foul that eating it will give the player 10 seconds of nausea (and 1/2 a hunger stick). This stuff can also be used to make nausea potions. Nausea potions can be corrupted with fermented spider eyes to make blindness potions.
The Nether Cannon
Durability: 512
Obtained By: Crafting
Description: Originally conceived as nothing but a regular fire charge launcher idea. The Nether cannon is the new Nether themed weapon that is indeed capable of firing fire charges, but it can also fire other projectiles. The Nether cannon can't be enchanted. Projectiles fired from the Nether cannon have a straight trajectory (like ghast fireballs) but have a limited range (which is lowered when traveling underwater). The Nether cannon does not need to be charged but has a refresh time of two seconds after it fires. The refresh time only goes down as the item is held (so no switching and waiting for it to reload). The main function of the Nether cannon is it's ability to use many types of ammo. Each ammo type has a range, speed, and damage. Here's a list of the ammo types it can use:
Fire Charge
Range: 64 Blocks
Speed: 16 Blocks/sec
Damage: 8 (4H)
Special: Catches target on fire
Slime Ball
Range: 48
Speed: 16 Blocks/sec
Damage: 6 (3H)
Special: Ricochets off walls.
Prismarine Sphere (Crafted with one prismarine shard and one prismarine crystal, makes two)
Range: 20
Speed: 10 Blocks/sec
Damage: 10 (5H)
Special: Speed and range of shot is not decreased in water.
Cloud Puff
Range: 4 Blocks
Speed: 32 Blocks/sec
Damage: 1 (0.5H)
Special: Deals tons of knockback; more than Knockback II/Punch II
Iceball
Range: 16 Blocks
Speed: 16 Blocks/sec
Damage: 7 (3.5H)
Special: 25% chance to freeze target
Thunder Orb
Range: 48 Blocks
Speed: 32 Blocks/sec
Damage: 20 (10H)
Special: Summons Lightning that does additional damage if it hits a block above sea level and while it's raining on the overworld. Never works in the Nether. Always works in the Aether and End. Slightly homes in on target.
The Nether's environment would not change very much besides the replacement of some blocks such as gravel to embers and mushrooms to mushraves. Fright bulb sprouts are scattered throughout the whole Nether and are not very common. Much of the older mobs have been buffed and new mobs have been added to make the dimension more hostile.
Nether Fog
Currently there is a fog in the Nether that literally does nothing but obstruct the player's view. The many blocks behind it are still rendered so there really is no point in keeping it. Removal of this accursed fog will allow the player to see much more of the environment. Much like in these pictures which were taken before the fog was added. Notice how much more the player can see. The lava falls of the ceiling can now be seen without the ambient fog obstructing the awesome view. However if a player really wants to, then they really can keep it on by doing so in the options menu. Just remember that it won't help the game run faster, it's just ambient fog, not render fog.
Forts
Nether Forts are currently the main attraction of the Nether. They hold Nether Warts, blazes and wither skeletons. Since both wither skeletons and blazes would be able to spawn outside of the forts; their spawn rates inside the forts would be increased. This would make Nether forts more dangerous but yield higher rewards. Naturally with more mobs comes more drops, but there is also a new exclusive loot item that can be found inside the chests that appear.
This loot item is the potion of decay. A deadly potion that causes the wither effect. They are a bit rare, especially when compared to the other loot items found in Nether forts. They always are found in normal potion form, so they must be combined with gunpowder to make splash potions. Potions of decay cannot be brewed, they can only be found in Nether fort chests and by killing Nether wurms.
Nether mobs hate Aether mobs and Aether mobs hate Nether mobs. Because of this they attack each other. If a Nether portal and Aether portal are close together, then miniature battles may start inside of them. The command: “/Gamerule MobHate off/on” can turn this off (useful for adventure maps).
Another interesting factor in this interaction is that Nether mobs that are in the Aether will quickly die and Aether mobs will quickly die in the Nether. This a rare happening in survival but is at least interesting. The feature can be turned off/on with the command: "/Gamerule AtmosDeath off/on".
The Wither cannot be created in the Aether. If it is forced to go into it then it will die and drop nothing. Sprite sprouts cannot be grown in the Nether. If they are forced to enter then they will die.
Endermen?
These two Endermen are different from other Endermen. The one on the left is known as a Netherman and the one on the right is known as an Aetherman. These two subtypes of Endermen appear in their respective dimensions while also showing up in the End as rare spawns. These are the only Nether/Aether mobs that do not attack each other nor will they attack other Aether/Nether mobs. Nethermen are immune to fire and lava but still take damage to water (which can't be in the Nether) and can be frozen (which can't happen in the Nether). Aethermen are immune to freezing attacks and don't teleport in daylight but are still damaged by lava and fire (which can't be in the Aether). Like Endermen they drop enderpearls and act same. They are both rather rare but they blend in with their environments so watch out.
Why are these Endermen in these dimensions? How did they become different? I'll let you decide that one; you make the story in this sandbox game.
Game Progression
With the addition of the Aether, more is put into Minecraft's progression. Right now the progression consists of punching wood > getting diamonds > going to the Nether > finding the stronghold > going to the End. The addition of the Aether adds onto that by being another stage of progression. The Aether doesn't make the other areas useless either, in fact it makes them more useful. The Nether cannon gains access to way more ammo types when the Aether is accessible. The ability to farm fright bulbs is gained. Game progression is something Minecraft needs and the Aether can be a good way to add some more.
I would like to thank GreyAcumen and Sabata2 for the creation of the original Aether and New Nether suggestions. These suggestions were great and were the main inspiration for this suggestion.
Most textures are not mine but few of them are. Sources include FireHazurd's mob skins, retextured diamond block suggestion, the original Aether and New Nether suggestions, Xbox Edition's texture packs, unused and trashed Minecraft textures, and modified vanilla textures.

Ps: The reason he reposted is because he wanted to make changes, and since MCforum is a pile of **** when it comes to editing things (It's BBL is awful and always corrupts every post you change). Overall, I like the idea, and feel that it should be added into normal vanilla MC, since it doesn't go all freaky and whacky unlike 90% of other suggestions, and still sounds like Minecraft.
I'm not overly fond of a dimension I can't return from. The nether is bland beyond the fortress yes but adding in OP mobs would
make me want to stay there less. Ghasts are bad enough since you usually don't hear them. Also now that wither skeletons are
more abundant makes for a decent amount of effort and battle. The only downside to the nether so far as Ive seen is the blaze's
new found lack of accuracy. All in all I can't say I like the idea. Although a new dimension wouldn't be a bad idea, especially for
console editions.
He was talking about the mod when he said the Aether was a dimension you can't return from. Ghasts are rarely trouble if you know what you are doing, and why do you want a new dimension specifically for the console editions?
It's more like a remake. The original thread became broken and wouldn't let me edit it. I had to remake it in order to update it. The new format of the post makes it much easier to edit as everything is divided into sections. If something goes wrong; then it will only happen to one of the sections and I will be able to fix it.
He was talking about the mod when he said the Aether was a dimension you can't return from. Ghasts are rarely trouble if you know what you are doing, and why do you want a new dimension specifically for the console editions?
In the mod you can return to the overworld. It's just that there is no point in doing so.
History
Praise be to Spode.
Aether Blocks
Sky Soil/Grass
Requirements: Sky light level of 8 or higher (for grass)
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 3
Hardness: 0.6
Tool: Wooden Shovel
Flammable: No
Description: Sky grass and sky soil make up the top surface of the floating islands of the Aether. A special feature of sky grass/soil is that a golden hoe is required in order to till sky soil. Tilled sky soil has a special use but can't be used for normal crops.
Aetherock
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 30
Hardness: 1.5
Tool: Wooden Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: Aetherock makes up the insides and undersides of the floating islands. There is nothing really special about it, but smelting Aetherock will yield Aether brick which can be used to craft Aether brick blocks.
Aether Brick
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 30
Hardness: 1.5
Tool: Wooden Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: Aether brick is a purplish brick block that can be seen as the opposite of Nether brick. It can be artificially made by using four Aether bricks. It can also be found making up the floating Aether labyrinths.
Floatsand
Requirements: None
Gravity: Yes*
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 2.5
Hardness: 0.5
Tool: Golden Shovel and Silk Touch Shovel
Flammable: No
Description: Floatsand is a very peculiar material as it had the tendency to "fall" up. This makes it semi dangerous to collect because it can be found under the overhangs that form on the floating islands. It can also generate underground; which is a much safer place the look for it. When smelted it creates prism glass.
Prism Glass
Requirements: None
Gravity: Yes*
Transparency: Yes
Blast Resistance: 2.5
Hardness: 0.5
Tool: None
Flammable: No
Description: Prism glass is incredibly strange for its true form is rarely seen. Prism glass takes on the appearance of the block it is facing. The block faces the direction of the block it was placed on (similar to how logs work). If facing another prism glass or air block, then it will appear as its natural form. Another attribute of prism glass is that it can be walked through. This makes it a great block to use to make secret passages and hidden light sources. It can't be used for pitfall traps because, being made of floatsand, it floats upwards. So the material can only really be placed on walls or ceilings unless the player blocks it off with a sign or some other nonsolid block, but this is a dead giveaway. Although it appears solid, light can still pass through it. This is helpful when making hidden light sources, but not so much when making secret passages.
Glazed Soil
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Blast Resistance: 3
Hardness: 0.6
Tool: Golden Shovel & Silk Touch Shovel
Flammable: No
Description: Based off of the original idea of quick soil. On some of the edges of the Aether's floating islands are parts of land that are covered in a slippery substance. This substance makes the ground four times more slippery than ice. It's so slippery that not even sneaking will prevent the player from falling off the ledge of the block. If you are ever walking on this stuff, be very cautious.
Permafrost Crystal
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: Yes
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 2.5
Hardness: 0.5
Tool: Stone Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: A very bizarre material that grows out of the ground like a cactus. Breaking them with silk touch tools will yield a whole blocks. Without silk touch they yield frost shards. The blocks can be placed anywhere, but only placing them on sky grass will allow them to grow. If the player touches a crystal block for too long then they will freeze for a short while. Permafrost crystals also slowly freeze water and lava (does not work in the Nether) blocks within a four block radius.
Holy Logs/Leaves/Wood
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 10
Hardness: 2
Tool: Golden Axe and Silk Touch Axe
Flammable: No
Description: Holy Trees are the trees of the Aether. Their logs can only be collected by golden and silk touch axes. The logs are also nonflammable and can make nonflammable planks. In plank form they can be harvested by any tool.
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: Partial (-1)
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 1
Hardness: 0.2
Tool: Shears
Flammable: No
Description:
The leaves of holy trees also can't be combusted. Shears can be used to collect them. When they naturally decay or are broken then they have chance to drop a sapling or a very rare chance of dropping a golden apple (normal, not Notch). It's not very farmable and is more of a "nice find".
Amethyst Ore/Block
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 15
Hardness: 3
Tool: Golden Pickaxe or Silktouch Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: Much like how quartz is found in the Nether, Amethyst is found in the Aether (Interesting fact: Amethyst is just a variation of quartz). It can be mined with a golden or silktouch pickaxe. Breaking it with a golden pickaxe will make the ore drop an amethyst gem. If a silk touch pick is used then it will drop the amethyst ore block which can be smelted into an amethyst gem. Which has various crafting purposes. It should be noted that Amethyst ore is quite rare, it is found inside of the floating islands but it is sometimes exposed to air.
Requirements: None
Gravity: No
Transparency: No
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 30
Hardness: 5
Tool: Iron Pickaxe
Flammable: No
Description: A block made of nine amethyst gems.
Aetherose & Puffnea
Requirements: Sky Grass
Gravity: No
Transparency: Yes
Light: None
Blast Resistance: 0
Hardness: 0
Tool: None
Flammable: No
Description: The flowers of the Aether are the Aetherose and the Puffnea. The Aetherose can be used to make magenta dye and the puffnea can make light blue dye.Nectar
Like water, nectar can be made into infinite springs.Reactivity: When nectar touches these other liquids these reactions will occur.

Drops: 0-1 Marbell Core
Description: Marbells are large, iron golem esque mobs. They are not super common but can be found anywhere within the Aether. Occasionally they will offer the player a flower and rarely a useful item such as a golden apple or diamond. Right clicking the held item will take it and add it to the inventory. When damaged by a player the marbell will be angered and attack back by throwing the player into the air much like how and iron golem attacks. There is also an angry variant that is naturally aggressive, look for the angry eyes!
Aerwhale
Behavior: Passive

Drops: 1 Gas Bladder
Description: From the original Aether suggestion; it's the aerwhale. Aerwhales floatabout the skies of the Aether. They never go withing 10 blocks of solid land. Although they are passive, if the player flies into them with a balloon, then they will deal out a large amount of damage. Aerwhales also take no knockback.
Zephyr
Behavior: Aggressive

6 (3 Hearts) Normal
8 (4 Hearts) Hard
Spawn: Anywhere in the Aether, Uncommon
Drops: 0-3 Cloud Puff
Description: Zephyrs are an aggressive mob of the Aether that hovers above the ground. They behave much like a blaze does except for the fact that they freeze their targets as opposed to catching them on fire. Be careful, when they see you, they are capable of flight and will shoot when you are in range. So you are not safe while inside a balloon.
Sprite
Behavior: Aggressive
Health: 5 (2.5 Hearts)
Speed: 5.4 Blocks/sec
Attack:
2 (1 Heart) Easy
4 (2 Hearts) Normal
6 (3 Hearts) Hard
Spawn: Anywhere in the Aether in large groups (4-8), Rare, Uncommon (holy tree forests)
Drops: 0-1 Sprite Twig
Description: Sprites are a more rare hostile mob but come in large groups. They are like baby zombies but have much less health and do less damage. Be careful not to get pushed off the ledge.
Beetle
Behavior: Aggressive
Health: 30 (15 Hearts)
Defense: 30%
Speed: 3-10 Blocks/sec
Attack:
Horn Attack

An achievement is also awarded to those who kill one.Praise be to Spode.
Aether Items
Amethyst
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Breaking Amethyst Ore
Description:
Praise be to Spode.
Aether Environment and Mechanics
Freezing
Labyrinths
Bright
Not only does light come from the top and bottom, but the minimal light level in the Aether is 8. Even if an area is closed off from all light sources, the light level will not go lower than 8.

Nether Blocks
Embers & Ash
Requirements: None
Gravity: Yes
Transparency: No
Light: 4
Blast Resistance: 3
Hardness: 0.6
Tool: Stone Shovel
Flammable: No
Description: Embers replace the gravel that generated in the Nether.
Fright bulb seeds can be collected if the weed is broken with shears.Acid
Requirements: None
Gravity: Yes (Liquid)
Transparency: Yes
Light: 0
Blast Resistance: 300
Horizontal Flow Distance: 5(Everywhere else) 1(Nether)
Tool: Golden Bucket
Flammable:
Like lava, Acid can't be made into infinite springs.Reactivity: When Acid touches these other liquids these reactions will occur.

Zombie Pigmen
Ghast
Magma Cube
Wither Skeleton
Blaze
Salamander
Behavior: Aggressive
Health: 30 (15 Hearts)
Speed: 3.6 Blocks/sec (5.6 Blocks/sec in lava)
Attack:
Bite:
10 (5 Hearts) - Easy
16 (8 Hearts) - Normal
24 (12 Hearts) - Hard
Acid Spit:
MAX 8 (4 Hearts) - Easy
MAX 12 (6 Hearts), Armor takes X1.5 damage - Normal
MAX 16 (8 Hearts), Armor takes X2 damage - Hard
An achievement is also awarded to those who kill one.Praise be to Spode.
Nether Items
Sweet Tooth
Stackable: Yes
Obtained By: Killing Gluttons
Slightly homes in on target.Praise be to Spode.
Nether Environment and Mechanics
Hostile Environment
Nether Fog
Forts
This loot item is the potion of decay. A deadly potion that causes the wither effect. They are a bit rare, especially when compared to the other loot items found in Nether forts. They always are found in normal potion form, so they must be combined with gunpowder to make splash potions. Potions of decay cannot be brewed, they can only be found in Nether fort chests and by killing Nether wurms.
Praise be to Spode.
Other Features
Aether – Nether Interaction

Thanks for reading this very large suggestion. Perhaps this can be added into Minecraft someday.

I personally like the idea of this suggestion. =)
The old thread is just a link to this thread now.

In the mod you can return to the overworld. It's just that there is no point in doing so.
