Hi! I have a new biome idea today. It is called the Void Biome.
Now don't go "oh this has been suggested b4 m8" cause I used the search bar and nothing legitimately relevant to my idea came up (and I am not accusing anyone, please do not be offended). And note that the #/#/# sequences means the damage or effect on easy, medium, then hard mode.
Ex: 1/2/3 damage. 1= easy, 2=medium 3=hard.
OVERVIEW: (fancy desc.) This new biome is a small, rare, and demonic land of depression and fear. It is highly recommended that you do not venture into this biome without experience or you may be doomed to a horrific nightmarish chain of terrifying events.
(dumb desc.) New biome. Small, no plants. Make sad. Scawry. If make home, you and home go big boom boom. Evil. Can't be found often.
PARTICLES:
When entering this biome, you can see the particles you used to be able to see when near the void. Also when entering the biome, the sun will completely disappear and the sky will turn dark black.
MOB(S):
This new biome contains one new mob that will terrify you. It is called the "Void Walker". In creative mode it can be spawned with its black with white speckled egg (white polka dots). The Void Walkers can be seen only during the night, and make audible growls of pain. They look like zombies, except dark black with white eyes. When hitting you, they deal 10/12/14 damage (five hearts, six hearts, seven hearts). They also have 30 health, and their strikes inflict blindness for 3 seconds. Upon killing this horrible creature, it will drop 1-4 Void Dust and have a rare drop of dropping the disc "11".
BLOCKS:
This biome has a weird new block that is black and speckled with gray, like static on TV except very dark black. It is called "Darkstone". When Darkstone is mined (only with a pickaxe that is iron+), it will drop 1-2 Void Dust (looks like redstone except black), which can be brewed into a blindness potion (I do not think that blindness actually effects mobs, but if this is implemented it would also implement blindness effecting mobs), or crafted with 9 other void dust to make 1 Darkstone (cannot be uncrafted).
If mining Darkstone with silktouch will give you one block of Darkstone.
Also in this biome are Bedrock blocks and Obsidian blocks scattered throughout the biome (stone is cannot be found in the biome).
EFFECTS:
Beware, going into this biome will affect you with the effects of the void, slowly sucking away at your soul and penetrating you soul with its icy cold evil, dealing 2/3/4 damage (one heart, one and a half heart, two hearts) per 15 seconds to you (not true damage).
SUMMARY OF ITS VALUES:
(uses 1 being it sucks for that and 10 being it is amazing for that)
Good For House: 1/10
Brewing Value: 8/10
Crafting Value (decorative): 6/10
Crafting Value (stuff that you need, can live without): 3/10
Rarity (1=super common, 10=ultra rare): 9/10
Scenic Value: 2/10 (unless you like a depressing wasteland, "void of life" [lol see that joke there? XD])
Mining Value: 2/10
Food Value: 1/10
Braggin' Rights: 10/10 (YEAH I SURVIVED AND MADE A HOUSE IN THE VOID BIOME BYOUCHES)
So guys, do ya like it? Please comment below and if it is critisism please make it constructive (not "I don't like it". Explain why please)
AND PLEASE NOTE THAT I TRIED TO UPLOAD MY SCREENSHOTS BUT IT IS GLITCHED FOR ME RIGHT NOW, SORRY
Doesn't seem like there's much point in going here. Assuming blindness potions completely disable mob vision, it doesn't really hold a candle towards either Invisibility (which keeps ALL mobs from seeing you if you take off your armor unlike with Blindness just affecting the one or two mobs you splash) or just killing the mob that you don't want noticing you. And aside from maybe having some form of decorational value in the form of Darkstone and maybe netting you Disc 11, there's no other reason to go here.
The Void Walkers are also a fairly uninteresting enemy, since a melee mob inflicting Blindness is nothing special (you can see a few blocks in every direction... which is all you need against a melee mob that's already in your face) and otherwise has nothing but increased stats to differentiate it from the boring, cannon fodder zombies.
Maybe if it brought something interesting to the table, this would be an interesting idea. As it stands, though, no support.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
I only give a partial support to this thread, a sort of 50/50, for from the description you gave it sounds like a copy paste of the end. Instead of this being it's own world here is a new suggestion :
The world you described only happens once you slay the dragon, for you don't realize it at first, but the dragon and it's "healing beacons" were actually the thing that sustained the peace of the end. Now that you have disrupted this balance, it becomes into this horrible world you described earlier.
Anyways just a thought.

Awesome idea! But exactly how will we get into the Void Biome? Also, the Void Walker should drop 4-8 void dust when you kill one. Overall...

If that would happen, then anything you put in the end would be erased, making building in the end useless.
If this is a biome meant to haunt Players, why would anyone want to go there? And the fact that you take 3 hearts of damage proves that no one would ever want to go there, especially wandering with little or no food, which will cause a big problem.
Another thing is that this biome provides no value for a Player at all. Excluding a few items to get such as Void Dust. Everything else seems like they can only be obtained through using a diamond pickaxe or a pickaxe with silk touch. The point of a biome is to provide necessaries for a player to live, flourish, and survive.

This roughly says "Scary Stuff", and then the game would turn into a, what I like to call, a "OoT Rating". You know, ReDeads, Those... hands...
You know.
But still, this is a good suggestion, but it may be a bit on the Nightmare side, Especially With the current age rating of the game.
Slight Support.
I like Video games, such as Pokemon and animal crossing. My avatar is Villager, possible reference to the Akia Village?

Oi, Void Walker was a mob name of MINE that I had in one of my old threads...
I think this is a wonderful biome that could be used to expand the End. It always needed more content.

You know, I think this would be neat in the nether as a 'nether biome' of sorts.
But, for now:
Partial support; this belongs in the nether, not the overworld.
Add me on steam!
Random junk is random:
A few of my suggestions and a personal favorite suggestions. More neat-o suggestions in my bio.
