Agree with all of these, although I wouldn't be adverse to seeing a giant, or even colossal, squid down in the depths of the ocean.

C'mon, we can all agree squids are pretty... dumb, even tho the wiki says "if attacked, squid will attempt to swim away from the player.", I can easily kill a squid in a few seconds.

What am I suggesting is, when hit, squid will not attempt, but really swim away from the player, and swim a bit faster than normal, squids would also spray ink on the player's face, the "ink" being simply black particles, like those when a mob dies.

Squids would also swim away from Guardians, for obvious reasons.

Another thing, when on land, squids would slowly "slide" to the nearest water block.

I think they could add sounds to the squids, when they get hit, and when they're swimming... I don't know how I can describe those sounds but... they could be like the sounds made by the guardians.

Or, as suggested by DesinitDraco "For swimming noises, maybe the noise it makes when you run your hand through water (that watery swooshing sound), and it plays every time the squid closes its tentacles while swimming. Possibly a underwater version of the slime's sounds for just about everything else. A sort of squishing noise since that is basically what irl squids are, giant boneless slimebags.".

Squids have a 15% of chance of spawning with baby squids, I think they could look like this:

They would have the same AI as squids, but would swim a bit faster and have 5 health points instead of 10.

Why add this you ask? To make oceans more alive of course.

I don't think this suggestion is redundant since most of the threads about "better" squids are "ADD SQUID MEAT COZ THEYRE USELESS".

Yeah And i think they must add Black Spray Particals That Has Wither When It Spawn To Regeranate His Health But Alot More Of It That Can Cover All Screen With This Particle And It Must Play A Sound Like Slime When Jumps And It Gives You Wither For 6Sec And Blindness For 7 Sec And The Baby Squid Sprays Ink Wither For 3s And Blindness For 5s And Why Not They Can't Attack Mobs The Squids May Be Some How Little Stupid So They Think The Animals Attacks Them So They Can Attack Them We May Make Auto Food Farm And We Make Them Also Attack The Mobs You Can Use This Feature To Protect Your House From Creepers When They Explode And You Can Use Them Close To Villagers Houses So Zombies Can't Attack The Villagers You Can Do That Just By Placing A MINI Tank Close To Your Door AVG PROTECT %100!
