I was just thinking... Maybe in the future updates of Minecraft, there can be coloured quartz! Like, you can maybe use dye in a crafting table after you craft chiselled quartz, pillar quartz, regular quartz, quartz stairs, or quartz slab. Anyone else agree???
Eh, not a horrible idea, but it seems a smidge similar to hardened clay. Regardless, I could still support.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
I've wanted this in the game for quite some time now. I think all these colors could really go well with quartz's smooth texture. Could you also make colored variations of slabs, pillars, and chiseled quartz as well?

Minecraft is not medieval-themed!!! As a matter of fact, it doesn't have a set time. And when and WHY did putting reponses in the quote, especially long ones, become a trend in the Suggestions? It's rather inconvenient, mainly since the OP has to gather your quote up manually. Avatar made by Endergirl!
I would also agree, colored blocks are getting redundant, especially with the release of stained clay. But the only reason those were useful was because it's texture was different and would be used for a variety of builds or maps. But the problem with those was because they only provided a dark-tinted colour of the dye. So for Stained Quartz, there could be light-tinted colours.
Thanks for the support on this. I thought I'd be 1 of maybe 3 people on the forums who'd like coloured quartz. Reason why I thought of this is because I realized there's coloured (dye injected) quartz in real life, and this all originated from one of my science classes.
It is very true that the stained clay doesn't show the colour that it is (black = grey, white = cream colour, purple = blue, etc.), and the reason I've said that is, IF coloured quartz gets added in a later version of Minecraft, the colours should be more apparent on the blocks than some of the colours on stained clay. Maybe like some of these pictures down below:
NOTE: THESE AREN'T BLOCK TEXTURES!
In order from left to right:
Black Quartz, Cyan Quartz, Lime Quartz, Pink Quartz, Purple Quartz
I'd sure love it if the colors weren't screwed over like Stained clay.
At first people'd look at wool, but their blast resistance is pathetic, making them rather useless for actual survival houses. Colored quartz could fill that niche perfectly, especially considering how smooth its texture is. Even better if its colors were even more vivid and saturated than wool.
I agree with that CenSilver. Plus, wool can catch on fire and start a house fire during a thunderstorm in a desert (If your survival house is in a desert). I also think it would look nice for house decoration.

Very good point about the different types of blocks quartz can do that stained clay can't APlotdevice, and I've agreed with 100% of the people who say coloured/stained/dyed quartz should have bright, vivid colours, though, I do apologize my example of colours in the pictures I posted earlier aren't block textures.

Minecraft Forums, why do you do this to me?
Neutral support. The idea is nice, sure, but it's kind of unoriginal since we already have stained clay, and is useless because, again, we have stained clay. But I do see how the pillars and such could look better than a orange block of some underwater substance.
If I say something weird, please don't mind, the undefineded is throwing off my sense of what I'm posting.
