My idea is, to add bamboo forests! The biome's uncommon. These forests have normal oak trees, bamboo, and pandas! The generated structures here would be a village in an asiatic style.
STRUCTURE-RELATED:
Village: The village will be an asiatic style one. Instead of those lamps with fences and black wool, they have red lanterns, hung from the houses. Also, the villages will not have a church, but a shrine. These villages also have little sushi and ramen stands.
Japanese Lanterns: Those are lighting blocks. Their lighting level is 6 and can be only HUNG from a block. Chinese lanterns can also be made with a crafting table. Their recipe is: 1 ink sac in the middle, 4 papers surrounding the ink sac, and 4 rose reds in the edges of the GUI.
WOOD-RELATED:
Bamboo: Bamboos are blocks that are only found in bamboo forests. Breaking 1 of these will give you 3 Bamboo Chutes. Bamboos don't need water to grow. They grow 1 block in 4 minutes, while they do, you can hear it make a cracking sound. Breaking a bamboo will take you 3 seconds with hands, 2 seconds with an axe and 0.5 of a second with a sword. These can grow 15 blocks tall.
Bamboo Chutes: Bamboo Chutes are gotten from breaking bamboo. With these you can craft planks. However, planks need 9 bamboo chutes rather than 4. Bamboo chutes can be replanted, but, unlike sugar cane, you can't stack them up. This is how bamboo chutes look like:
Sakura Trees/Cherry Blossom Trees: These trees can be only found in villages. They have a brown bark, and pink leaves. Sakura Trees can make planks. Hitting the leaves will have 1/50 chance to give you a cherry, and 1/25 chance to give you a sapling.
Cherries: These are food items. They give 1/2 of a hunger bar and no saturation.
Sakura Saplings: Sakura Saplings can be placed and they will grow eventually to a sakura tree. Sakura Planks: Those are blocks made from sakura logs. They have the same use as any wood. Sakura Leaves: Sakura leaves are the upper part of the sakura tree. Sakura leaves have their own special thing. Sometimes they fall like sand! But they do not remain blocks. They look like snow, and can stack up! When leaves fall, there also is a chance of a cherry falling with it. The cherry appears in the texture. To get the cherry, you right click the patch.
MOBS:
Red Pandas: Those guys will be found sitting on top of oak trees. They will give 1-2 red wool and 1 black wool. Breed them with bamboo chutes and flowers. These animals are 1 block tall.
Pandas: Pandas are found in bamboo forests. they are normally sitting, like steve riding a minecart. These guys do not provide meat when killed. They provide 3 black wool and 2 white wool. Breed them with bamboo chutes. These animals are 2 blocks tall. NOTE: Pandas and red pandas can NOT be tamed. They will need bamboo, so have these at the ready! If they don't, they will move to bamboo forests.
FOOD-RELATED:
Ramen: Ramen can be gotten from villagers that live in bamboo forests, or on a crafting table. It restores 3.5 bars of hunger, with a saturation of 30 seconds. After eating it, you get the bowl back. It's crafting recipe is: (E=Egg P=Raw Pork B=Bowl N=Noodles S=Seaweed F=Raw Fish/Salmon /=Empty) Also, it's shapeless, but the bowl's place MUST be respected.
E P N
S N F
/ B /
Bamboo Rice: Bamboo Rice is a dish that can be crafted, and can be traded with villagers. It restores 4 bars of hunger and it gives 17 seconds of saturation. Recipe is shapeless, and it needs 1 bamboo, 1 bowl and rice (1). After eating it, you get the bowl back. ~Thanks Kazo10!
Sushi: Sushi can also be gotten from villagers that live in bamboo forests, or can be crafted. It restores 2 bars of hunger, with a saturation of 5 seconds. It's crafting recipe is: (S=Seaweed R=Rice F=Raw Salmon) It is shaped.
S R S
S F S
S S S
Rice: Rice can not be used in anything else than sushi. It can only be found in the ramen/sushi stands type of house in bamboo forests' villages. You can usually find 12-27 laid across the chest. Rice can be farmed, and has the same farming texture as wheat. BUT, when rice is mature and fully grown, it's lower texture will appear in a milky white color. Rice can also be found farmed in those villages.
Noodles: Noodles can also only be used for ramen. They are made with 2 wheat in a horizontal line in a crafting table/player's crafting window, but can also be found in the same conditions as rice.
Seaweed: Seaweed is used to make sushi and ramen. It can be found in oceans/seas/beaches, usually 7-13 blocks tall. Unlike sugar cane, it blends with water. But, like sugar cane, if you break a lower block of it, the rest above will fall. It will give 1 seaweed (item) per block. To break seaweed, it takes 0.7 seconds.
My idea is, to add bamboo forests! The biome's uncommon. These forests have normal oak trees, bamboo, and pandas! The generated structures here would be a village in an asiatic style. Oriented items and blocks within Minecraft? Sounds a little strange, but let's hear it.
Village: The village will be an asiatic style one. Instead of those lamps with fences and black wool, they have red lanterns, hung from the houses. Also, the villages will not have a church, but a shrine.
Chinese Lanterns: Those are lighting blocks. Their lighting level is 6 and can be only HUNG from a block. Chinese lanterns can also be made with a crafting table. Their recipe is: 1 ink sac in the middle, 4 papers surrounding the ink sac, and 4 rose reds in the edges of the GUI.

Bamboo Chutes: Bamboo Chutes are gotten from breaking bamboo. With these you can craft planks. However, planks need 9 bamboo chutes rather than 4. Bamboo chutes can be replanted, but, unlike sugar cane, you can't stack them up.This sounds more of a sort of tree than a miscellaneous item.
I would consider this slightly redundant, as the only use it has is for a decoration item and possible a small, insignificant piece of food.
Cherries: These are food items. They give 1/2 of a hunger bar and no saturation. They look like this:
Sakura Saplings: Sakura Saplings can be placed and they will grow eventually to a sakura tree.
Sakura Planks: Those are blocks made from sakura logs. They have the same use as any wood.
Sakura Leaves: Sakura leaves are the upper part of the sakura tree. Sakura leaves have their own special thing. Sometimes they fall like sand Now add that to a village and possibly every Sakura Tree planted, this would cause some serious lag if they were to have falling sand effect. ! But they do not remain blocks. They look like snow, and can stack up For leaves that look like snow...they...don't really....! When leaves fall, there also is a chance of a cherry falling with it. The cherry appears in the texture. To get the cherry, you right click the patch, How about receive cherries the same way you can obtain apples?
Red Pandas: Those guys will be found sitting on top of oak trees. They will give 1-2 red wool and 1 black wool. Similar with the panda mechanic, the villagers will not trade with you and iron golems will chase you What...? Why would they do this? Having an Iron Golem attack you with absolute no reason would be extremely unfair as you did not intend to harm the villagers or the iron golem. Furthermore, they would be considered a hostile mob than a neutral mob. . These animals are 1 block tall.
Last but not least, Pandas!: Pandas are found in bamboo forests. they are normally sitting, like steve riding a minecart So far, this is a mob specifically for this biome rather than a world generated mob. . These guys do not provide meat when killed. They provide 3 black wool and 2 white wool, and, when you kill a panda, villagers will not trade with you, and iron golems in the village will start to chase you, meaning that they will kill you I disagree with this, mostly because it's absolutely ridiculous and irrelevant. Breed them with bamboo chutes. These animals are 2 blocks tall.
NOTE: Pandas and red pandas can NOT be tamed.
Responses in bold. Overall, I expected a more simple suggestion, one with descriptions of a biome, what there could be and what could grow. I will be honest and say this is a very detailed suggestion worthy of being implemented. However, the complexity, variety and additions primarily for this suggestion is what makes it inessential.
Hard for me to say, No support.
Did you take a look at the images? I said the shape looks like snow. I was going to mention that if you kill pandas in the village, but I couldn't have because lack of time. The leaves falling animation will be similar to a mod's, they have a texture of a single piece of leaf, and when they come to contact, they look like that patch. Also you do know that if you kill villagers iron golems will attack you, same way works if you kill many pandas, because pandas are illegal to kill IRL, due to their race being extinct. However I'm not saying you're wrong, I just wanted to share an idea. So don't take this as if I said "NO THIS IS THE BEST IDEA SHUT UP".
Village: The village will be an asiatic style one. Instead of those lamps with fences and black wool, they have red lanterns, hung from the houses. Also, the villages will not have a church, but a shrine. What about the villages using a new Paper Panels Block instead of Glass Panes, too?
Bamboo: Bamboos are blocks that are only found in bamboo forests. Breaking 1 of these will give you 3 Bamboo Chutes. Bamboos don't need water to grow. They grow 1 block in 4 minutes, while they do, you can hear it make a cracking sound. Breaking a bamboo will take you 3 seconds with hands, 2 seconds with an axe and 0.5 of a second with a sword. One one question: how tall would bamboo grow? I was thinking anywhere between 10 and 15 blocks high would be about right. Also maybe bamboo should be able to spread slowly like mushrooms do.
Bamboo Chutes: Bamboo Chutes are gotten from breaking bamboo. With these you can craft planks. However, planks need 9 bamboo chutes rather than 4. Bamboo chutes can be replanted, but, unlike sugar cane, you can't stack them up. This is how bamboo chutes look like: Can we make bamboo sticks too? What about a bamboo fence equivalent?
Sakura Leaves: Sakura leaves are the upper part of the sakura tree. Sakura leaves have their own special thing. Sometimes they fall like sand! But they do not remain blocks. They look like snow, and can stack up! When leaves fall, there also is a chance of a cherry falling with it. The cherry appears in the texture. To get the cherry, you right click the patch. I like the intent but not the mechanic. A better implementation would be for Sakura petals to fall during rain and collect on the ground just like fallen snow mechanic. [Another suggestion that uses "Rain = falling leaves" is the Scarlet Forest Biome. Take a look at that suggestion for ideas how to make this work. Also, instead of clicking the cherry, simply breaking the "fallen petal" block (or use a shovel like collecting snow balls) would be simpler.
Red Pandas: Those guys will be found sitting on top of oak trees. They will give 1-2 red wool and 1 black wool. Similar with the panda mechanic, the villagers will not trade with you and iron golems will chase you. These animals are 1 block tall.

Breed them with bamboo chutes. These animals are 2 blocks tall.
NOTE: Pandas and red pandas can NOT be tamed.
Yes for Pandas, No for the villager aggro mechanic.
What purpose would this serve other than crowding my inventory? So any update just crowds your inventory? I don't get what you mean...
I think birch tree leaves should have a chance of spawning like this, and should sometimes drop cherries, kindove like oak trees and apples. That wasn't what I was going for, because you don't find sakura trees/cherry blossoms anywhere else other than Japan I don't think.
I just don't see what this would add to the game, we thave 6 types of wood, so thats why if they added japan stuff the cherry trees could use birch wood.
Bamboo would be neet but what would we do with it?
Pandas and red pandas are cute but what would they do?
Birch doors would look nice japanese villages.
Villagers there should sell bamboo etc.
Redstone lamp would do for lighting.
Potted bamboo is a must.
I just don't see what this would add to the game, we thave 6 types of wood, so thats why if they added japan stuff the cherry trees could use birch wood.Oh, that can also be a possibility.
Bamboo would be neat but what would we do with it?You breed pandas with it, craft planks and all the thing you do with normal wood, but has that green texture.
Pandas and red pandas are cute but what would they do?I want to stay realistic here, pandas will not do anything. You can take them with a lead, and since they sit most of the time, they will be really good "pets".
Birch doors would look nice japanese villages.Yeah, for shrines especially.
Villagers there should sell bamboo etc.I was also thinking that villagers would sell ramen.
Redstone lamp would do for lighting.I thought of the lanterns since I'm giving it a japanese style, why not give the red lanterns as well?
Potted bamboo is a must.Yeah, that could look fancy.
Also, I'm free for suggestions. If you feel like this thread has some stuff wrong, just comment it. ^^
I'm adding this: Pandas will start moving to bamboo forests if they haven't found bamboos for 3 minecraft days.

Bamboo/birch wood could be the same...
I think cactus wood should be green, however bamboo could be light green
cactus darker green.
Lemme ask you: What was the point of adding granite, andesite, and diorite? What about the polished versions of them? How about Prismarine, Prismarine Bricks, Dark PrismMarine, and Sea Lanterns? They certainly could clog up an inventory. They were added to be fun. You and many other people take "the feel" of minecraft way to seriously. It's ok to add new stuff into minecraft. If the community doesn't like it, mojang could alway put an update out...
I see your point, but I just think if there are anymore types of wood it may begin to feel like TreeCraft, WoodCraft or StickCraft
More lighting would be cool, i agree japanese lanterns would be cool, I just think they need a better model then the basic X, and anyways birch wood looks nice with the cherry leaves!
