A new page would be put on to the customized world options, listing all biomes with a slider under them. The slider going from 0-10(I think), 1 being most common, and ten being super rare, and 0 disabling that biome. This could be done without too much difficulty if they changed the current biome weight calculations to having a variable, as opposed to a static number.
This seems short, but really doesn't need much explanation.
Its a good feature that I could use in challenges, lets see if you can live only in the Desert while you look for a Jungle, I would change the topic name to Set Biome Rarity though, as people would understand it better instead of going "meh" and skipping your topic, Support, consider the change though

Sure, it is just that in minecraft, it is called biome weight, but I will change that.
I have no idea why the hell would someone even dream the current "only x biome or ALL THE BIOMES" button we currently have would be even slightly useful...
The biggest problem with current world generation is the climate system, which is really why some biomes seem so rare; it is made so that "extreme" climates (snow and hot) are very unlikely to generate in the middle of continents; I'd very much rather have an option to bypass this (which is easy to do, I even did so myself). Because of this, it is also difficult to assign a precise rarity to a given biome; some biomes like jungles and mesas also generate across entire climate zones, thus are less common but very large - a bit too large if you ask me; if I want large biomes I'll use that world type or biome size.

In order to fix this, yes, they would probably have to override the special generation for extreme climates. I think(Not sure, I only know basic coding) but if you assigned climate by biome, after generation it shouldn't affect climate zones too much.
All in all, it would pretty much just ignore climate in the generation.
Now for suggestions / points to make to go even further.
1: Instead of 1-10 "weight" the values/options should be like this:
A: Standard Generation (current MC rules) / No Restrictions (any biome can spawn anywhere) / Realistic (gradual phasing through biomes, aka ocean --> beach --> plains --> forest --> snowy --> mountains --> savanna --> desert) / Custom (set your own logic path/banned mixes)
B: GroupWeight (Climate Group, aka long standing groups like cold, cool, warm, hot, special) 0-100 tries, each group of biomes has a chance to spawn that can be set, aka default would be each group is tried once to see if it goes there before repeating the list to try again
C: Biome Weight (individual biomes) two numbers, both 0-100
i: chance to form (chance for success each try)
ii: tries (this biome gets x tries before continuing)
If these options were implemented we could easily do almost anything with the world, and these options are Very easy to write i think.
I am sold on this idea if for no other reason than to get rid of these stupid enormous birch tree forests. I HATE them!!! FULL SUPPORT! ARE YOU LISTENING MOJANG? FULL SUPPORT!

I agree entirely, but it mainly just annoys me that you can select "All biomes" or "One biome"

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?

Support.
I'm Canadian, and there is no igloos around. Or snow. Or polar bears. Or moose because I live in a city, but there are moose in the country.

Also, thanks to others.
Firstly, i support this very much.
