Hello, I'm Minedude from the present.. Can't believe my last post was in... 2012... And that my name is.. Minedude.. ._. I feel ashamed now. Well, that's not the point, let's not get lost already. So, I know, this suggestion has been posted... I looked up at some suggestions similar to this, and I've read every little peace of this suggestions, and understand it. However, this suggestions I found of this topic are insanely old.. 2012, to be exact.. And no, it was not me the one to post it. So I figured out, that this may be out dated, Minecraft has changed in 3 years, allot, so I figured out that I needed to speak about this, as in 1.8.1, not the BETA version tho'.. Wake up. I have seen, the Extreme Hills biome, is supposed to be a biome with... Big hills with snow on top of it.. Wen I look into the facts... Extreme Hills biome is.. Insanely small... The average of Hill Height on Extreme Hills is 100.. 120... 140 Blocks high, yet the biggest I've found yet it's 137... By some facts I found around the Internet, do not know if they are true tho', a block is 1 meter tall... So if this is on 137 Blocks tall.. That's just 137 Meters... On real life, I live on 258 meters tall... So, wen people say that Extreme Hills biomes is a tall giant mountain, I'd like to sit down and laugh.. Cause, it's extremely small.. Now, I do know why they are small, I'm guessing it's because they want to let you a big space to build it, even taller then Extreme Hills.... But wait? Why is there snow on top of Extreme Hills biomes, if this is just 130 meters tall... But I get, the rendering in Minecraft it's different, so, if you have a 140 Blocks tall mountain in Minecraft, that is enough that from Player's perspective it looks like Aconcagua... <.< Now this is my thing, Why can't Minecraft have higher hills.. Or wait, Mountains? There aren't any Mountains in Minecraft... They are described as " Extreme Hills "... " Hills ".. Not " Mountains "... As a map builder, Mountains of Minecraft look sweat, In my opinion, Mountains could be a nice little place. With an average mountains of 200, 210 blocks high, leaving enough space for a small cabin, flag, or a monument to stand on top of it. Now.. here comes the downer... With so many blocks, Minecraft's performance would go down, and the rendering wouldn't be able to catch the peak. Minecraft is an insane world that could have so many epicness, but it still need tweaks, fixes and world creation that can mostly be only made with World Painter. Minecraft is a good game on it's own, but having so many small things, and describing them as tall mountains just doesn't sound right. Mountains would make it up for a player, you can climb one of those and get a better view of the landscape around you, you could mine ores out of it, you can make a castle on top of it perfect for defense. I feel like Mountains is something that Minecraft is missing, but wen you think of the possibilities of this dream coming true, there's not to many hope. Well, thanks for taking the time for reading, comment please, don't be mean please, I know this has been said various of times, but this is something that needs to be done, even trough it's almost impossible! I'm not a Game Maker.. So I don't know anything of what would it take for such thing, and how could they make it, I just feel like this could be a nice tweak in the world of Minecraft, and a huge benefit for players who are having problems just exploring the world around you by walking and walking... It can also work epic for cinematics without needing biome mods or Costume Worlds.. Well, thanks, bye!
