I'm not so sure about the bricks variant, but I'd love to see them come in stairs/slabs variants.
What's wrong with granite/andesite/diorite bricks?

Minecraft is not medieval-themed!!! As a matter of fact, it doesn't have a set time. And when and WHY did putting reponses in the quote, especially long ones, become a trend in the Suggestions? It's rather inconvenient, mainly since the OP has to gather your quote up manually. Avatar made by Endergirl!
Excellent idea, but the andesite bricks look similar to the normal stone brick.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
I feel that this would be a good add, because this will further fulfill the purpose of being a decoration block, also unlocking more building possibilities, therefore making these stone-type blocks a more worthwhile add to the game.
How do I craft it, and how many bricks do I receive every time I craft one of these bricks?
The same way you craft a crafting table, but with polished andesite/granite/diorite instead of wood. Every time you craft a brick from any of these stone-type blocks, it gives you 4 andesite/granite/diorite bricks.
What do they look like?
(See attatchments below)
I was not too sure on the textures you made. So I tried my hand at it.

Yeah, I'm not really a professional texture designer.

Personally, I feel that andesite, granite, diorite, and their polished variants are ugly blocks that shouldn't have been added, as all they do is clog inventory space when strip mining.
This idea would change that. There would be a lot more uses for them building-wise if we could turn them into bricks. Why not also allow them to be turned into slabs/stairs as well?
That would be the greatest idea! Also Full support!
Would it be nice if andesite brick was more like this?
Slabs can be added to the minecraft:stone_slab2 and double_stone_slab2 block IDs as it currently only has two textures, normal and smooth red sandstones.
As for the block version, it can be added to minecraft:bricks as it only has one version data value.
The only thing that will add block ids are stairs, all three of them. So about clutter there is none really.

Great for texture packs. Would like them more if they could be crafted to half slabs and stairs.
Support.
I Like the Idea!
Supported
I support this just for decoration purposes. I'd like stairs and slabs, too. There's no reason for this to not be in the game already.
I'm gonna support this, but they also need to add stairs/slabs first.
Very good idea and support!
I don't see any problem with this, gives another use to andesite, diorite, and granite.
100% SUPPORT!!!
