I think all the stone types from reika's geostrata should be added. They can be used in the recipe for vanilla stone tools, and never displace ore. Finally, they only replace 10-20% of vanilla stone, same as vanilla granite and andesite.

I agree with this, also it should have a normal stone texture but a lighter gray, as you can see here:
That is Limestone mixed with normal stone. It is still gray, but its a little off and a little brighter. Over all, this makes a lot of sense since Limestone is quite common everywhere. It should also be easier to break than stone, limestone is actually a softer stone. I support this great idea
I agree with what you are saying. I think Limestone should be more unique compared to just normal stone.
Responses in bold. Overall, I find the idea quite interesting as I would like to see more varieties for stone ever since the 1.8.2 update. This would provide more for builds and such. Support.
It seems that most of you guys want Limestone to spawn the same as Granite, Andesite, and Diorite. So i think i will change the original post about that. After all, some of you guys have made some really good points on why Limestone should spawn like the three stones.
Also, i agree with you that builds could look better with more block options.
Few suggestions, I think making it only spawn below Jungle would be good. That would add to the rarity of it. Typically, Limestone would form in the ocean and be found on dry land many years (millions) later, so having it spawn around the coast of ocean biomes would also be an option.
Main suggestion: I think the spawn range of Limestone should be limited (say not below y=40). Below that level, it would spawn less often, but as Marble, which can be formed from metamorphised Limestone. I think the Marble block could be something similar to netherquartz. Could also possibly create Marble using 4 or 9 limestone blocks.
Another option would be to allow Limestone to be created by putting 9 Bonemeal into a crafting table (as limestone is effectively an amalgamation of the skeletons of small marine creatures, usually corals) Making limestone from bonemeal would make some sense.
Btw, I have finally added Marble into the suggestion.
Please tell me what could be improved.
Thanks, glad I could help.
I think marble should be closer to the top of mountains, while still on mountains like limestone for, (once again), a level of realism that won't hurt.

Good suggestion. Maybe there should be like a 5% chance for every Limestone block (that naturally spawns) to be replaced by Marble.
Its sarcasm. It means the opposite in real life. Also, what do you mean by "Every block"?
I thought it was sarcasm, but I wasn't entirely sure. I'm not stupid
And by 'every block', that was referring to how the ORIGANAL POST stated that it replace every single stone block in certain biomes, which I found stupid.
And I posted that two months ago! Let it go! We already had this conversation about that comment!
I decided to add uses for Scoria.
After some thinking, i came up with 2 uses.
One is a slab type and the other is another way to collect redstone.
Also, i made a Changelog for you to track the progress of this suggestion.
Thanks for all your support - If you can give feedback, that is highly appreciated.

Don't click this link, HE is haunting it...
He means a taller version that can hold 3 flowers (And possibly double-tall ones), but i'm not sure if the latter is true.

i wil change the original post now.
Thank you for your kind words

Very cool idea. Maybe if water is placed on/beside/below limestone, then the limestone will dissapear after an amount of time.
I think, generally, this is a good idea.

Just my 2 cents. Support from me :-)
Thank you Gumbatron for your feedback.
I like your idea of Marble.
When making this suggestion i did not know how to incorporate marble.
But now i will take the time to think of how, and i will use some of your ideas.
There should be an update to the Original Post soon.
Thank you guys for all your support.

Suggestion: Make it spawn in mountain biomes too, for a level of realism that wouldn't hurt.

Thank you for the well-though response that clearly shows what is wrong with the idea and why.

I decided i want more in this suggestion.
So i added Scoria.
I think Scoria should do more. What do you think?
But again, thanks for all your support! I highly appreciate everyone's feedback and help!
