Sometimes, there's a moment in Minecraft where there's somewhere you want to get to, but it's only one block high, and you can't get in there. What if Minecraft had sliding? The sliding controls will be simple, simply W+Shift+X. Of course, you can't just simply slide forever. When you slide, the block's particles will show up, like when running or falling on it, and you can only slide for about two seconds, and the sliding will get slower as you slide. If you slide on Ice, you can slide up to five seconds. Maybe someone can create a Meme Run map, a game where sliding is possible, or they can make a parkour map with sliding as a feature, or maybe an adventure map that gives sliding challenges, or just simply if you find a tight space in your Survival world. The limitations with sliding is that you can't slide backwards and you can't jump whilst sliding, neither can you slide whilst in the air, or mine on your back. In the first person perspective, you will not look up, because of course you need to see. Instead, the view will go down, so far down that your view will be as if your head is directly on top of the block. If someone makes a map for Meme Run or a map where a tight space last for a long time, along with this there's a /gamerule SlideTime <time>, the <time> can be set up to any number desired, but if the map is meant to have unlimited slide time, you can even put in limitless. DrWeegee123 says, ''could sliding into mobs push them and/or hurt them a bit (one heart max, if it does)?''
All support, although I do think that this might not be a completely minecraft related thing, I do think that we need it, and maybe eventually we could get grappling hooks with rope that looks like the lead, where we can climb up while pressing jump or down while pressing sneak whilst on the rope and then we could swing by pressing forward or back. (this would add to parkour too)
