My idea is zombie pigman, wither skeletons, should occasionally spawn with netherbrick armor and tools. The armor and tools are un craftable and can only be obtained by killing zombie pigman and wither skeletons. Also the tools and armor can sometimes spawn in the chests in nether fortesses. The armor and tools are as good as iron.
If there's one thing nobody wants to hear about, it's a new tier. People moan and groan about it, (Why do we need another one?) and the suggestion never really gets anywhere. Although it earns value with no crafting recipe, this netherbrick tier is just uncraftable iron with a different texture. What people like to see in the suggestion area is something original. For example, instead of slapping down a dragon for the nether dimension as well as the end, Mojang made the wither.
We don't want a new version of something we already have, we want something completely unique that everybody enjoys in the game.
Actually new uncraftable armor wouldn't be that bad, as long as it is basically retextured version of some other armor.
Support.
It really isn't a new "tier" if it is exactly as good as a previous one.
What's the whole point of adding something if it's exactly the same as something already in the game? Sure, you cannot craft it, but that doesn't add much significance.

What is the point of having more than one kind of stone? 3 of them are exactly the same.
What is the point of being able to dye leather armor?
There are many useless things in Minecraft.
This would at least have uses in PVP maps, the teams could have different colour armor without either having an advantage or having to wear weak leather armor.
This would make nether fortresses harder without giving the mobs armor that doesn't fit in the nether.
Yes, this wouldn't have many uses, but it also wouldn't be hard to add. (just copy and re-texture iron gear.)

Stone variants are there for the same purpose dyed clay, wool, and stained glass are there to add more of a variety. I never said that everything had a use. No one likes retextures of armor, same thing for mobs, or anything that is slightly buffed with a slightly different texture, that's why many people complain PvP is boring. Sure you can use it for PvP--between only two teams, but that's an indirect use, and only for multiplayer, you must think about both multiplayer and single player as not everyone plays multiplayer. While i'm aware you did not mention that, you still forgot about single player. And for items not fitting in the Nether, I actually feel the gold tier fits the Nether wonderfully, I usually think of it as Molten armor or something... I'm still not going to support, but that's just my opinion, I don't mind if you support-that's your opinion, i'm not going to stop you, i'm just unsure of how many people would actually use this, and I feel would just be a slightly more defensive chain-mail armor that no one really would use (I know some people use it, but it's so rare, that not many do use it).
Netherbrick armor? I know this is Minecraft, but let's keep some aspect of realism. You can't create a comfortable suit out of stones, let alone bricks.
No support.
Probably easier than creating armor from diamonds?
No new tiers, also why would we want to obtain this armor? Iron is so much easier to get. I'd rather see them spawning with Iron Armor, which acts the same.

So, it's a reskin of iron that you can't craft? How does this have any value, especially since you'll have diamond gear by the time you get to the nether?
No support.

Hm... this would give nether bricks a use. I don't think this is such a bad idea.

Minecraft is not medieval-themed!!! As a matter of fact, it doesn't have a set time. And when and WHY did putting reponses in the quote, especially long ones, become a trend in the Suggestions? It's rather inconvenient, mainly since the OP has to gather your quote up manually. Avatar made by Endergirl!
Mojang is not adding any new tier types. Also, it's called nether brick I would find this quite discomforting and heavy to wear armour made of bricks. And if this was a rare drop by nether mobs, the durability of the nether brick armour will naturally be low. And in order to increase durability, you need to use the same material and armour type. It's best that wither skeletons and zombie pigmen just stick with wearing chainmail or golden armour, for now at least.

So, I'm going to have to say no support...
for now
Thanks for posting!
As kittykattykat said, new armor tiers (And weapon tiers) are highly unwanted. For the same reasons, too.
So, sorry. No support...

I'm confused about this, but then again... It is a bit late, and my mind isn't working...

Yeah, I think they should be craftable.
