Also, with the Ancient Flesh, perhaps you could use both implementations... Eat it as is for the first implementation's effect, or cure it to get the second effect! Given that there's no salt in Minecraft, you could either add salt somehow (maybe you extract it from seawater?), add a way to cure it with cold (perhaps just combining it with ice in the crafting grid?) or just smelt it

Support. The curse effect should be cancelled out with milk, though, because that would add another reason to use milk. The ancient zombie can apply the curse effect multiple times, so I don't think that milk would be too useful against the ancient zombie.

Well, I'll say I like this idea. However, I don't think we need three new potion effects just because of one new mob. Curse is an interesting and unique idea, but as far as I know, no other potion effect can't be cured by milk. So, milk should cure this one, and the chance of cursing should be increased. Vulnerability is useful, but it should be the opposite of resistance: 20% more damage, rounded up, per potion level. Then, an inverted version would be resistance, not immunity.
I prefer implementation 1 for eating ancient flesh.
So, while I think this suggestion has its flaws, it's pretty good. Mostly Support.

It might cheapen it a bit, but I think this mob is unique enough that I would never consider it "cheap." Besides, look at guardians, the monument equivalent of this zombie. Are they cheap? After all, you can avoid their laser by simply going around a corner. However, the guardian is still a challenging enough mob that I wouldn't consider it cheap. There's also the fact that after you kill the zombie, you'll be stuck without health regeneration for two minutes, so you would have to either risk fighting more zombies in the temple with reduced health and the inability to regenerate, or sit outside for two minutes doing nothing. It'd get boring. Thus, there's no real reason curse can't be cured with milk.
Plus, I never carry milk around with me, so I'd be screwed anyway .
Been forever since I've seen a mob suggestion with actual sounds! Not just that! But the mob is really balanced too! One question however, is the mob always sprinting or is it when you get far or something?

Partial support. It should only spawn on hardened clay in a temple to prevent from walking into the trap and ruining it.
