Just because your furnaces are slight upgrades from each other, doesn't mean they're balanced. Even your coal furnaces are overpowered despite that it's a tier above cobblestone, because coal is not hard to find at all, and just a couple coal furnaces completely outmatch double that amount of cobblestone furnaces easily (making them potentially useless, almost as if they were added for nothing). When I brought this up the first time, your best response was "oh well cobblestone furnaces hog up space".
Another awkward reply you gave was "diamonds aren't hard to find", which actually hinders YOUR arguments. Not mine. If diamonds are not-so-hard to find, then doesn't that make your beefy diamond furnace even easier to craft? One of your most overpowered furnaces are the emerald ones, because there are trades you can keep making with villagers that are stupid easy.
How long do you want to keep doing this? Because it's very apparent you're running out of arguments here. Evidenced by your blatant post skipping. Which I'm sure you're just gonna reply to one single part of my post and ignore the rest like you've been doing.
20% is a slight upgrade, not really a major one. Outmatch? How do they outmatch twice as many cobblestone furnaces? Fine then, if you want to spend a lot of time on building a seperate room filled with furnaces, go ahead, no one's forcing you to craft these furnaces.
The rarity of diamonds was only slightly boosted, it's not like they were made as common as gold. Emeralds are worth several iron in village trades, which is why they're above iron.
Oh, like you never replied to small portions of my posts! I'm not running out of arguments. Why don't you try to see the good sides of something? It'll make your life a lot better. Overall, you haven't really hindered my replies with good reason, you just complained about them.
Minecraft is not medieval-themed!!! As a matter of fact, it doesn't have a set time. And when and WHY did putting reponses in the quote, especially long ones, become a trend in the Suggestions? *Sigh...*
"If you don't like, then don't use it!" is one of the WORST arguments you can make when defending your own suggestions. It's in the game, you WILL get confronted by them. If, for example, suggest the following:
"I suggest adding grenades to Minecraft. They can be by combining one gunpowder with one piece of wood to get 3 grenades. You can throw them and they deal twice as much damage as regular TnT. they also explode instantly and can be thrown as fast as snowballs.
But if you don't like them, you don't have to use them."
That suggestion is clearly Overpowered. And does the "it is optional' argument make the idea any better? No, not at all! it's still terribly unbalanced! And it's just the same with those furnaces of yours. They're overpowered, and not using them isn't an argument that saves your suggestion.
I like to think of the cobblestone furnace as the base furnace, since it is. How are they overpowered? Grenades are one thing, but so what if I get confronted by one of these furnaces? Your statement was overly general.

Yes, 20% is a slight upgrade, but add a bunch of those 20% faster furnaces and it all adds up in the end. See, one of your complaints was that cobblestone furnaces take up too much space, but not everyone shares that view. What's gonna stop from someone (who doesn't give two craps about the space furnaces take up) from still loading up their house all the same with your complete upgrade furnaces?
You have to stop basing suggestions on your own views and then nothing else, and try to see the bigger picture in these things. As for the quote in red, you used the "if you don't like, don't use it!" argument. One of the most frowned upon statements anyone could ever make here. It even appears in my very guide you posted in. Being able to ignore something completely has no absolutely no impact on the quality of the suggestion.
How would a few coal furnaces outmatch double the amount of cobblestone furnaces? Take a seat. I'll tell you all about it.
A cobblestone furnace has only one slot, and takes 10 seconds to smelt an item, meaning it takes 10.6 minutes to smelt a full stack.
Your coal furnace has two slots, and takes 8 seconds to smelt an item, making it 8.5 minutes for a full stack.
So it would take 6 cobblestone furnaces over 10 minutes each to smelt 6 full stacks of something, while it would take only 3 coal furnaces over 8 minutes to smelt those same amount of stacks (since again, your coal furnaces have two slots each). So... there you go. Coal furnaces: 1 - Cobblestone: 0.
Hell, your emerald furnaces would cover 5 of those stacks in just 3 minutes.
The rarity of diamonds was only slightly boosted, it's not like they were made as common as gold. Emeralds are worth several iron in village trades, which is why they're above iron.
N... No they're not. Some villagers offer trades so ridiculously easy it makes your face hurt. Some villagers will give you an emerald just for some wool - a resource you can collect indefinitely from just one sheep.

No, you're right. The girl that made one of the most detailed and lengthy suggestion guides as well as very long posts explaining the negatives of your suggestion was just complaining this WHOLE time. Yeah, that's totally it.
Not that I'm supporting the idea, but I do take issue with one thing: The statement that this can already be accomplished by crafting multiple furnaces and is therefore not needed is not compatible with the statement that this would be overpowered. I happen to agree with the first statement, it's not needed.
Well, I guess unless you think that you shouldn't be able to have more than one furnace running at a time, or something. To put it another way: if the ability to smelt 1000% faster is overpowered, then furnaces themselves are already overpowered as they are now. After all, they are crafted with a single ingredient that happens to be the single most common block in the game, by a lot. Faster smelting is already in the game, and easy to get.

Not even the amethyst furnace smelts that fast.

My coal furnaces have two slots for fuel, not for items. And you're going to have to build a a sheep farm to get enough white wool for the emerald trade. And did you choose "I like some ideas, but not all?", if you give partial support? And so what if they load up their house with the more efficient furnaces out of less easily obtainable items? How is that your problem?

-So far (since 2 days, that is) I have gained over 30 emeralds thanks to my sugar cane farm (through villager trading, obviously), and I'm not a hardcore player or anything. With a sheep farm you can do the exact same. It's not that hard to get loads of emeralds.
-That means that half of your arguments collapse like a house of cards.
You've constantly been saying that one of the main reasons of your suggestion is that normal furnaces would take up too much space for the same efficiency as your furnaces, but now suddenly it seems like you know that that argument doesn't make any sense, and now you're avoiding that fact by saying things like 'so what' and 'who cares'.
Be consistent or revise what you've stated earlier, please, instead of creating contradictions within your argumentation.
And how long did it take to build the farm? For me, it took a pretty long time.

Sorry, but no. I personally don't feel furnace efficiency is an issue that needs a solution. It is currently the right balance of time versus the task, furthermore there is no limit to how many operations you can have operating. Tweaking the fuel load slots and material smelting slots would only further complicate redstone devices and the like. Not to say it is impossible, but a group of simple machines are easier to combine in numerous ways than it would be to have "fixed" specialized functions like you seem to be suggesting.
I think your idea would be better pitched as a mod for those who want to enhance and further define that particular aspect of the game.

How does altering the amount of maximum slots in a furnace complicate redstone devices?

Well for starters how are multiple slots identified? When a hopper needs to add a value to each furnace, how is it detirmined? How does the player distingush between the various properties that will cause furnace (X) to behave (Y)? Would there be commands or a way to switch between adding or removing items from each different internal slots?
How is having a furnace with more than one fuel slot and/or more than one smelting slot beneficial or an improvement, when a simple redstone device can hopper in fuel and material to be smelted and then even hopper the completed items into corespondent chests? Adding different efficiency furnaces with different capacities creates a solution for a problem that rarely, if at all, exists.
I personally don't think the time it takes to smelt detracts from the game play, especially when the option to make multiple furnaces is a viable option, rather than gathering rarer resources to craft something that allows me to process smelting at a slightly faster speed. I fail to see that as a reasonable trade off.

Congratulations, you are the first person to call these furnaces underpowered! Anyways, regular furnaces with hoppers/chests still cook one item at a time. The most notable downside with these types of furnace systems is that you won't get any experience points, which are very useful. And a lot of entities have been added to minecraft that don't really solve major problems, such as the armor stand.

Nowhere in you original proposal did you cite the inability to collect experience on automated smelting creations as your issue with the current system. Your issue seemed to be the desire to add furnaces with faster smelting times and more exotic materials and/or different decorative faces. With your submitted ideas of furnaces you didn't offer any remedy for collecting experience.
As for redstone lamps, they provide a controllable light source in addition to many other uses creative players have discovered and creatively implemented. Additionally the redstone lamp was unlike any other item in the inventory enough to be original in use and implementation. Your submission is a furnace, another furnace, and another furnace because this furnace is faster than the previous one. I don't know if you reason redstone lamps as useless because you don't use them or just fail to see the difference between the useful properties of different items in the sandbox environment they are presented.
Even if we were to agree redstone lamps are the most useless waste of coded line in Minecraft, how does that make a case for your proposed items? There are some useless items so let's put even more useless items into the game? This line of reasoning also seems to lend itself to your first line in your response, a hopper/furnace system still only smelts one at a time. Then where does the disatisfaction end? This makes me suspect you bought a 3 bladed razor and then promptly threw it away when they unveiled a 4 bladed one even though it does exactly the same thing.

What about tool upgrades? Does no one throw their not very used wooden pickaxe away after crafting a stone pickaxe? I don't think redstone lamps are the worst thing to be coded into minecraft, but it isn't really one of the best either, it's okay. I don't really have a least favorite, but I think that bats are completely useless.

Minecraft is not medieval-themed!!! As a matter of fact, it doesn't have a set time. And when and WHY did putting reponses in the quote, especially long ones, become a trend in the Suggestions? It's rather inconvenient, mainly since the OP has to gather your quote up manually. Avatar made by Endergirl!
I am flabbergasted ant your ignorance and your stubbornness.
You need to learn how realize you were wrong most of the people here are trying to make you a better poster and person overall by teaching you about what you are doing wrong like saying that because you think something is a good idea everyone should, or that you don't have to use it if you don't want to which is by far the most stubborn thing to say on a dying/dead suggestion
These people like Thesis have spent large amounts of time making counterarguments to your ignorance and stubbornness just so you can understand and i envy them for that so what do I mean by all this YOU ARE WRONG we don't need more than the basic cobblestone furnace in this game for reasons that have been stated countless times in this post. Maybe if you could just read every line of every post throughly and then say wow I was wrong for arguing and yelling at people who have obviously been posting on here for a long time and know what is right and maybe you can apologize to us all and we will all respect you more as a community member who has learned a lesson
I was trying to defend my post, okay? I'm not stubborn, I'm determined. And could you please stop using run-on sentences? Trying to make me a better person? Oh, so a person who protects, educates, and plays with his younger sister, helps his mother around the house, helps look after parents' small children when needed, is loyal, trustworthy, and generous, etc. isn't good enough for you? Actually, I bet you didn't know those things about me, and you don't know who I am at all.
