I think we should have a biome like those areas in Kentucky (i think in places like there anyways..) where the trees are golden, red, orange, like in the fall.
lets think about that. you dont like it because its "really ugly"...you DO know that these textures would probably not make it into the game, if ever implemented? that they will do textures that actually arent red variants of vanilla stuff? good.
it doesn't fit the overworld. so what world would an autumn forest fit? the nether? THE END? A NEW DIMENSION with ice cream creepers called the superdupermegadimension? or are you just one of those nostalgia addicts that are like: "back in my day in the indevs...this game was a lot better! i dont like anything new! i want finite worlds! i want lag! i want unrealistic lighting!"

Geez....why do you overreact so much over one post? Autumn forests do not have bloody red grass or stone. My opinion is that it looks ugly because it is so red, and I don't think that scarlet forests even exist IRL. I didn't mention anything about the old versions in my post. GOSH
alright i overreacted. yes. but you could`ve formed your post maybe a little less insulting. calling a guys work ugly(edit: REALLY ugly) isn't the best strategy to be approved of.
I never said that he did a horrible job of making it. I just said that it looked ugly, and that was my opinion. How else could I have stated it? If you find that insulting, then I guess saying that the desert in real life is ugly is insulting the Lord's creation.

As to the OP's new textures: I still think that they are a bit too gray-brown and red colored and sorta red checkered. And again, that's just my opinion and I tend to like lush green grass.

Hey I agree they were ugly and have some rough edges still, but no flame wars- here?-please. The forums are to be productive for the sake of all of us and not losing our account privileges.
To those of you suggesting new uses for Emeralds in the suggestions forum: Emeralds have enough uses. You can trade with villagers to get diamond armor/tools/weapons and enchants. Stop suggesting that Emeralds are useless, and learn to play Minecraft. Thanks.

I'd like orange for the sake of the fall color but red trees were kinda the whole inspiration for this. I was thinking that oak trees and birch trees when grown in these biomes would be orange and yellow.
How about a darker more maroon red?

The new textures are still too bloody colored, I think you should change the colors to orange.
