You craft Sticky Redstone by mixing a Slime ball and A piece of Redstone dust, Sticky Redstone would be normal Redstone, except you could place it on walls and ceilings, it would have a greener texture to it, and the Redstone signal wouldn't travel as far, around 7 blocks instead, this would be mainly used for easily and compactly moving a Redstone Signal upwards, but there would be many other things you could do with it too, you could also craft Sticky Repeaters by using a Redstone Repeater with a Slime Ball, it would be a Redstone Repeater with the ability to place it on walls and ceiling, this would In my opinion expand the possibility's of Redstone, but I can see why there would be some people who wouldn't want this in Minecraft, I don't know if something like this has been suggested in the past, but I thought of this idea, and I think it would be awesome if this was implemented in Minecraft.
That's a little too expensive... we use stacks and stacks of redstone and its relatively easy to get. Slimeballs aren't easy to get at all.

I know, but that would give people incentive to use traditional Redstoning tactics, and as I said, this would mainly be used for carrying a Redstone signal upwards, so you most likely wouldn't use it much, but in creative this would really help.
Why even make it a special recipe? One should be able to shift-click on a wall to place redstone on that wall or to force a redstone wire thats running parallel to a wall to connect to that wall. If you want to run redstone from ground to wall, just shift-click to place another piece of redstone to run it up a wall. To get around the problem of floor-to-wall transitions and the fact that only one thing can occupy a block just have the placed redstone use damage values or NBT info to account for all the possible combinations of block faces that the redstone could be placed on.
Vanilla circuits and vanilla redstone mechanics should still work, in theory, if it was done that way.
