I hope in future updates they add command blocks in the Redstone category of your inventory.
Why would this be useful?
You know how more commands are getting added, command blocks are getting really popular in the redstone part of Minecraft. This would be easier so you wouldn't have to type /give [Player] minecraft:command_block 1 0 every time you needed a command block.
Could I still use the give command for command blocks?
Yes, 99.999% of the items in Minecraft can be given using the give command. That still includes command blocks.
Here is were the command block would be added.
Are command blocks really that important?
Yes! Command block are big thing in Minecraft now pretty much every minigame uses at least one command block.

This is redundant and the reason they are not available in the inventory is that some people wouldn't know how to use them. The only way for the player to "prove" that he/she knows how to use commands is by typing it in!
Please do not ask for likes, thumbs up, +1s, or whatever you wish to call them. We do not allow "like" begging, as it is spam. Having it in your signature is allowed, however.
As for the idea, no support. The Commnad Block isn't in the regular inventory because:
All players with access to commands can be put into Creative, but not everyone in Creative has access to commands. This has the potential to create loopholes where non-admins on servers get Command Blocks
Even if you make them not show up if the player isn't an admin, the other reason they are not in the inventory is because you are supposed to know how commands work before trying to use them, and keeping it only obtained by command is a way of making sure they at least understand something about commands before using the Command Block.

I agree with Trollsack, if you don't know how to use /give, you shouldn't be using command blocks. Also, only OPs can use command blocks, so why bother letting the general public have access to them.

<del>Check out my server (s.BayCraft.cf) and its website (BayCraftWeb.tk)!</del>
BayCraft has shut down
Microsoft doesn't have rights ove- Yeah I'm done.
I would see this being something for Xbox, for a lot of reasons. They don't have /give, so I see it going in there.

My Avatar is a Dalek, therefor your argument is... EXTERMINATED!!!
You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.

This can easily be done with a very basic mod, but it shouldn't be added since command blocks are designed to be used only by people who know what they are doing. No support.

Since when do they have some sort of "knowledge test" to use something? Technically all the blocks can be obtained through the /give, so why have a creative menu at all? The whole point is to make it convenient to get for those that want it rather then having to type the command every time you want one. What makes command blocks so different that you are SO resistant to just adding to the damn menu?
All of the concerns about them are easily addressed, so stop making it out like it would be the end of the world.

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.
But Notch quit, right? And all or nearly all of the BukkitDev crew.
Notch will be leaving when the sale is finalized, which to my knowledge has not happened yet. Bukkit is experiencing unrelated issues and afaik nobody from Bukkit has left. Either way, please stay on topic, there are threads in Discussion for talking about the Microsoft deal and Bukkit issues.

I understand. I will remove the spam.
I don't mean to go off topic, but isn't it already removed?
