Like some of the other people I say that the core is too modern/advanced. Prehaps it could be radio active and when you put the ore block down if you go within, 2? blocks of it you can 1/2 a heart down per second. That would add more to the game for traps and such. And also it could be a sort of battery, I agree, but it would need more added because it is expencive. For my idea up there the ore block would hurt 1/2 a heart but the block (9 of them together) would hurt 2 hearts per second.

If it was radioactive, it would take away its usefulness as a building material, which is the current goal here. And you wouldn't be able to make armor with it because it would just kill you...
The idea is pretty fantastic, I've really been wanting some new stuff to mine! Lapis is good but this is something to mine with good pros to it and some cons to balance it out. I'm in for this whole-heartedly :biggrin.gif:

I know, but really we have plenty of armor, and we do need something extra to this material to make it unique. Lightstone can be put underwater, and to me it seems to be a bit odd to be able to make some sort of glowing, green, redstone using, material.
I do like how it glows (but what level lighting is it? 14, 15?) but to make it able to glow you should have to combine 4 ingots in a crafting grid. I didn't actually like my own idea of being radio active, but I wanted something unique so I had to settle with that.
And really, we don't even use any other armor once we get diamond. With infinium, its not quite better than diamond, but at the same time, it's not worse. It's an opinion sort of thing. you can choose which one you would want to use and what properties you want it to have depending on what your doing. Like if you're jumping off cliffs, you would want infinium because it does no damage to your hearts. But it you are fighting mobs, you would probably want diamond because it lasts longer. Even then you could still want Infinium... It all depends on your preference.
radioactive armor? I don't know, sounds dangerous XD
Just so you know, gold items now eat through stuff. A gold hatchet owns trees in no time. However I like the Pure armor idea. It would make it highly sought after, especially once dungeons are made to have boss monsters.

So you say 1.4 is fail because you don't know how to update your server? WTF
Thats like saying all cars fail because you don't know how to put gas in them.
erm .. the armour sounds very OP .. wont take any damage till armour wears off ... lasts like diamond ... for only a small speed loss .. imagine that in multiplayer , u shoot 1000 arrows at someone .. hit them alot .. and they wont die ...
all you need are BOOTS and you are unstoppable...

I like the fact that you want to place it from ground depths 0-5 from bedrock, mainly because of how awesome it is. I mean, I really love the idea of the battery and stuff, as well as the high difficulty of getting all of that Infinium. I support this for the advancement of minecraft. Especially the armor, because rushing head first into skeletons is no fun without it. I bet Notch will implement this if we all support it enough.

I hope so too... But he hardly ever checks, especially now that he is probably busy with the server being down.
Really nice idea, I like it, well balanced, i still don't know about the core, sounds interesting but I'm sure something more medieval can be created, maybe a infinium hourglass? Just saying to keep the atmosphere of the game.
Minecarts aren't medieval, so you've just jumped out of Minecraft.
[troll] Maybe you should go play Dino Run, if you're still worried about the time period. That game's *^$#in' prehistoric![/troll] Or maybe check out the Technology Periods topic at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=142076 -- It has a great idea for just this problem.

Isn't seven hearts the amount of health an aggressive mob has?
no, 10
I'd rather 5 damage
