I feel like the Ocean Monument is a little useless. I mean, new blocks and sponges are great and all, but you don't have to even find one if you don't feel like it. I want there to be a little bit more of a challenge to finish the game.
My idea is that Elder Guardians drop an item called "Elder Eye". This item is used on a block in the middle of the End portal that looks like a regular End portal block except with three holes.
If you right-click the middle End portal block with an Elder Eye in your hand, then it will fill one on the three spaces. The portal won't light if the middle block isn't filled.
Also, they would be part of a new crafting recipe: The Elder Chest. This would be an Ender chest with twice as much space. The top half of the storage would accessible from a regular Ender chest, but the rest would be exclusive to the Elder chest.
Also, if this were implemented, an Ocean Monument should always spawn in an ocean about 500 blocks away.

If you're reading this, then you're definitely not a sandwich.
Strongholds are guaranteed to have three spawn somewhere relatively near the starting point, and endermen will spawn everywhere. Having to search for an indeterminate amount of blocks to find an ocean which might possibly contain an underwater temple seems like too much random chance to get to the end.
No support.

I used to have a good signature, but it got nerfed.

I honestly don't think it would be that hard. I once found a semi-large ocean near spawn, and there were two ocean monuments about 100 blocks away from each other in it. Not including the other two that I found separately later.

Blazes, however, only spawn in Netherforts. Granted, finding one is much easier than finding a Monument thanks to their tendency to spawn in strips, assuming you know that they do (and assuming you aren't near an ocean as Monuments are fairly common in oceans and can be travelled across quickly in boats). The alternative is villager trading, which is probably worse than trying to find a Monument.
Anyway, I'm not terribly keen on the idea. Conquering an Ocean Monument isn't terribly rewarding (despite being the hardest dungeon, go figure), but the End is even less rewarding. All you get is Endstone and about sixty levels of EXP, which isn't nearly as meaningful as it would be in the past thanks to the new enchanting system letting you enchant pretty much at will as long as you don't die (which is a trivial task if you're at the point where you can enchant). Maybe if the Enderdragon were a more climactic battle or the End were a full dimension with a good amount of content rather than a lump of rock with mediocre enemies and a boring boss, I would consider this, but as-is no support.

It is an interesting concept, but due to the potential for there not to be an ocean within several thousand blocks of the temples, I'm going to have to go with no support on this. If they were used for something else though, I would probably like that idea if it is well thought out.

I don't get the Middle End Portal part. Where would it be on the End Portal.
Nevertheless, no support.
Eyes of Ender are already pretty hard to get, requiring many Endermen and Blazes to be slaughtered and in order to find the stronghold, you'll need plenty of those eyes. The Elder Chest? I sort of approve but I see nothing wrong with the Ender Chest. Having too many items stored in the cloud (or a parallel dimension) might give a big boost for those who are already swimming in emeralds.

Where would it be? It's in the middle, in the air.
The cobble stands for the regular End portal block, and the mossy stone stands for the middle End portal block.
(Don't pay attention to the gravel, it's just stands for air.)
Thanks for your opinion!

ocean monuments always spawn with 8 blocks of gold surrounded by dark prismirine, but i feel there should be more loot. However, i was thinking chests. No support.
I kinda wanted that too, but a chest has this little air bubble around underwater that makes it look really bad. Thanks for your opinion, though!

I have full support for the elder chest, but for the end portal addon? Not so much. Perhaps a bit nerfed maybe? Only my opinion though.
Actually, I came up with the Elder Chest after someone said that they should have more use than just for the End portal. He's right, though. They should have more than just one use.
Thanks for your opinion!

The Elder Chest is a great idea, but a lot of people (Such as myself) don't use Ender Chests to begin with.
The addition to the End Portal seems like a hinderance. Sea Temples are hard enough to find, let alone fighting Elder Gaurdians. Why even bother make us find a Sea Temple when getting to The End is a challenge on its own?

I guess it's okay. It could be going somewhere, but not too keen on the portal stuff. I dont want to have to go out 4000+ blocks to find a single monument.

Just edited it to fix this. Now it would always spawn in the closest ocean. The only problem would be if there isn't an ocean nearby.

True, true... I want it to be a full dimension, too. But that's for another thread. Specifically, this one:

I love this idea, because generally I can get to the end in under 30 minutes in a speed run so this can give me difficulty
