Flesh the concept out further, make it something that people would love to see inside their home. Bonus points if it has a practical application beyond vanity, but that's not necessarily needed either.
I mean its a waste of resources like how many people would find any use in the fish they don't give you food they don't fight for you and nobody with the right mind would stare at the aquarium all day...

Ok, if you think it's a waste of resourses; think about dirt. Did you know that people like aesthetics? Oh the horror! And with the name of Theredherobrine, I'm not gonna sound mean, (Ok maybe) but you sorta don't have a right to critize things based on usefulness. Also, your computer. That's a waste, think of all the starving people who'd love to play the worlds worst game (CoD Ghost) your complaining about digital code and how it takes up a little bit of other digital code.... Really???
But the idea is half baked, make it a little more detailed.

You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.
I like the idea of the aquarium, but it is kind of simple right now. Perhaps if you expanded the idea a bit more... And maybe 1 algae in the crafting table = 8 algae pieces, and cooking them gets you and algae flake? Or you could simply make it so you don't have to feed fish. As well, perhaps you have to fill it with a bucket of water first? And how many fish could live in there? Expand the idea, and I see it could have BIG potential.
