And if its been already posted a million time, don't make another suggesting the exact same crap.
No link, no respect. More meme, less respect.

My Avatar is a Dalek, therefor your argument is... EXTERMINATED!!!
You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.
Okay calm down. don't get your posties all up in a bunch.
firstly if you get the chance (if you can) go back and decap almost everything. i know its a pain in the **** , but it throws off some peoples(not mine i read it perfectly) ability to read (it tricks the mind into thinking that a new thought is coming when its not). its just something grammar wise that you'll have to work on.
Now as for your suggestion on ziplines; I'd like for you to answer a few things for me.
1.) are these ziplines powered in any way?
because if not then that means due to gravitiy i can only travel downhill. which means effecitvely every trip is only a one way trip. coupled with the fact that i initially have to make it to both point A and point B to be able to set the hooks so that the rope can be spanned between them it seems like the zipline would be much more of a long term investment than it would a viable practical solution UNLESS you also created a set of rappelling gear that allowed you to traverse directly up and down sheer cliff faces. but then there aren't many sheer cliff face since the bountiful biomes update anymore. On the flip Sideif they are powered then you'll have to find some redstone and a furnace and probably channel some lightning to make a motor or an engine- which could be costly. another downside to it being powered is that it'll move at the same speed (no acceleration) giving skeletons time to shoot you down.
2.) Can you manually and accidentally dismount from the zipline one engaged?
the reason i ask this is because if so, ziplining could be a very useful way to reach isolated high places. if you can "let go" mid ip then reaching that treetop would be a lot easier (despite the fact that you're taking some fall damage, but not as much as a regular fall [ since the line naturally. sags slightly]). but then you always get drawbacks. it would be both hilarious and humiliating to see a skeleton shoot someone off of a zipline with three well placed arrows. especially if there is a 40 block drop under them.
3.) Can mobs also use the Zip?
if so, then things become interesting simply because for the first time in minecraft history we can take weight into account. we know that the player weight about 750 lbs estimatively. so he would essentially fly across the zipline. but creatures who have hands (like the skeleton, who would be using his bow to cross the zipline) weight substantially less it'll take him a lot more time to cross. then you got creatures like the creeper who are bottom heavy, and would cross the zip much faster than the player would (by sliding across the zip via locking their feet in "Up-side-down"). im also assuming that spiders on the line would take impact damage and get flung off.
4.) is there a way to reset the line to a different location if i needed to?
if so, it'll make traversing extreme hills, jungle, and amplified 40000 times easier.
Al in all, you've got a decent suggestion. just remember to clarify much more. and also don't worry about some people here. although they're right a lot of the times- the can be complete pedants about it.
No support. I've seen quite a few posts on ziplines. Minecraft does not need ziplines, how would you get the line from point A to point B? Wouild you have some sort of gun to shoot said zipline? Or would you have to make a sort of scaffolding to place the zipline down then have to remove the scaffold? My point is, nobody would use them.
