Rarity: About as common as coal Requirements: Requires stone pickaxe or higher to mine Can be found between hights: 1-64 About: Copper can be found on your pennies, but the ore can be mined in Minecraft!
Copper Ore is the main ingredient in bronze, but not the final!
Tin
Rarity: About as common as coal Requirements: Requires wood pickaxe or higher to mine Can be found between hights: 1-90 About: Dull, and weak with a greenish tint. This is rustier than your average Tin Man.
The secondary ingredient for bronze, but it is primary as Minecraft's weakest ore yet!
Multi-Smelting
Imagine putting two metals in a blender. This is the resault!
It dosn't matter if Tin is on the left and Copper is on the right. It still does the job.
Crafting
ALL ITEMS ARE CRAFTED THE SAME WAY AS THE OTHER TOOLS EXEPT WITH BRONZE INGOTS
Bronze Block
Strength: About as strong as iron blocks when mining. Worth: As much as iron. About: Mainly for display.
No bronze apples (Will look too much like poo).
Bronze Tools
Armor Strength: Same as iron in mining strength, but twice the durability.
Tool Strength: Same as iron in mining strength, but twice the durability.

Support for this idea would be gladly exepted.

I accidently put "bronze ore" instead of bronze items.
i do think all of the ideas people are making are great to expand minecrafts building and crafting options are amazing but wooden and bronze would like alike so you could probably maybe give it an orange tinge or try to make it differ in looks but all these suggestions makes me think adamant mythril would be nice :smile.gif: it seems more like runescape that would be awesome it would be better then runescape of course but maybe adding more ores and crafting would be nice i dont think levels would be good but maybe more creatures in the basic minecraft instead of mods would be nice id love to see minecraft become greater and expand in options of crafting love your ideas though bye
If we get bronze, I want wood tools done away with. Two many materials of the same brown color don't work very well, especially if they are of a vastly different quality.
I like the idea of alloys. Multi-furnacing sounds like a great idea.
I'd like to see aluminium be added for armor, offers moderate protection but allows you to move closer to full speed. Of course for that the armor and other items would have to way you down in the first place. Especially if the Aether proposal gets up then lighter materials and alloys would be useful.
... But you should also have the ability to just smelt copper and Tin separately. ...
This
The ore could be smelted separately and the result will give you the smelted ore of each which you use the crafting table to turn into bronze.
Doing that would add the possibility of copper and tin items as well
Yeah just whack 2 metals on a table and you gain an alloy right? This is unfathomable. Possibly make a "preparation" out of the 2 ingots then place the preparation into the furnace to get the alloy ingot but multi furnacing would be much better.

Because Minecraft is so realistic, isn't it? The whole purpose of the crafting table is to CRAFT things.
This is the same game where you can survive drowning in water by eating and get 3 cubic metres of wool by punching sheep.
Oh, and throw unborn chicken fetuses against a wall to get entire fully-grown chickens.
Bronze is twice as durable as iron? THAT NEVER HAPPENED! Bronze should be in between iron tools and stone tools

Have you ever wondered if butterflies fart?
If they do fart, I bet the farts smell flowery.
I think flowers smell flowery because butterflies fart on them.
For all you people who think iron is stronger than bronze.
*facepalm*
Great idea, finally i can stop using wooden tools with my hoplite skin :biggrin.gif:
One thing I do not like is the double furnace. It's been already suggested, but mixing the two ores makes much more sense.
Copper tools seem like a good idea too, as well as pipes and other crap.
Tin buckets are a must, as iron buckets are wasting my iron.
Maybe we could give copper a more orangy look, just to distinguish from wood. Green bronze? um no. this is fresh from the earth and has not had horse-pee dumped on it (It's how they get the green bronze on buildings, on purpose)
Crap, this post is scatter-brained!

Great Ideas! I'd love to see a mod of this! (this would be like the only mod i would find worth downloading)
Its kinda funny to me how all this reminds people of runescape even tho runescape got the idea from LIFE people you can do this in real life. so no it shouldnt remind you of runescape at all. the only thing that notch could add to this game to remind you of runescape would be Runite. and maybe dragon. but why would he add dragon thats already a mod o-o - on topic :tongue.gif: i like the idea. and multi-smelting could lead to lots of other stuff. also homestruck stuff plox :biggrin.gif:? teh posabilitys with multi-smelting are endless!

Current Progress on Digicraft Texturepack, Vanilla - 100%
doesn't seem that hard to do, besides the double smelting of course.
Also the bronze items seem a little over powered, maybe power of iron with strength of stone?
