Ever wanted to create a zoo in Minecraft? I know I have. But there aren't that many rare creatures to put in zoos. This idea aims to add exotic animals to Minecraft. They serve no function except aesthetics and they can all be bred. All of these animals are very rare. They're about as rare as a spider jockey, except spawn in groups. To go along with having a zoo in Minecraft, you can also breed bats with apples (because of fruit bats) and you can breed squids with raw fish. This also means that squids and bats act like normal animals and don't despawn. If you do not know what one of these animals is, I suggest looking it up. Some are very cute, like fennec foxes and red pandas. Some are quite ugly, like blobfish.
1. Red Panda: Red pandas are found in forests and are passive. They will run away from you like an ocelot unless you are holding sugar cane (which is also used to breed them as it is the closest thing to bamboo, which both pandas and red pandas eat). They have 5 hearts (10 health). They drop nothing.
2. Fennec Fox: These adorable, passive animals live in deserts. Fennec foxes can be bred with any type of raw meat except fish and rotten flesh. They have 4 hearts (8 health). They drop nothing.
3. Blobfish: Disturbing creatures that live at the bottom of the ocean. Blobfish are passive. They can be bred with any type of raw fish. They have 3 hearts (6 health). They drop nothing.
4. Wombat: Wombats live in the plains biome. They're passive creatures. Wombats can be bred with any type of mushroom. They have 4 hearts (8 health). They drop nothing.
5. Wildebeest: These creatures are cow-like. They're found in savannas in large herds. Wildebeests are neutral animals and have 8 hearts (16 health). They drop 0-3 leather.
6. Sloth: Sloths are slow creatures found in the trees of the jungle. They are passive and can be bred with cocoa beans. They have 5 hearts (10 health) and drop nothing.
7. Peacock: Peacocks are beautiful birds found in the forest biome. They can be bred with any type of seed and nether wart, just like chickens. They have 3 hearts (6 health) and drop 0-3 feathers.
I'm a big supporter in the addition of any passive animal, but not tameable... but not those....
I dunno, I would rather have (already suggested by millions but still good) birds, fishes, bugs, biome specific animals, (lizards, monkeys, whales, snakes, hounds etc). that serve no real purpose but add ambiance (Bats), and have basic drops (feathers, leather) But I feel those are just too exotic.
So no support, but I support addition of animal mobs.

Top 5 priority of minecraft:
1- Finish the mod API
2- Give brains to villagers (make em more usefull)
3- Add ambiance: birds, fishes, bugs, crabs on beaches, monkeys in jungles...
4- More plants! Aquatic, any fruit tree, bushes....
I like the idea of some new ambient mobs that don't really drop anything, but instead are just implemented for the scenery, so those will all get a Supportfrom me. Though I'd like to add that breeding squid or bats realy isn't that useful, since they can despawn, unlike other passive mobs.
I forgot to mention that squids and bats would act like normal animals now. I'll add that into the post soon.
Blobfish? Why blobfish, for anything??? Ahhh whatever. It's still a good idea. Just find a modeler and this would be great!

I plan on making a big thread about overhauling oceans that will include blobfish. I know how to model, too. I've been in several modding teams as a modeler. I used to be a really good modeler, but I stopped for a long time so now I'm not nearly as good. But I'll practice and get better.

I would also like if the red panda and the sloth could go through leaf blocks, and could also climb vertically on wood logs. It would add more ambience to trees, and make more sense. It would also be cool if sloths could swim, as they can swim suprisingly well in real life. But support wether you add these or not. This is a thread I am very interested in, so I will probably come back and more ideas to it.

I'm gonna try to keep this thread alive as I like this thread a lot. There are so many threads I like a lot and so little time (except on the weekends), so I don't have a banner for all of them.
In a mod they would be great, but I don't feel like these mobs really fit into Minecraft. There are bats, sure, but bats don't really live in just one part of the world. Sure, they may have been restricted to certain areas nowadays, mainly because of humans, but you don't see a bat and associate it with a specific biome or country.
I also feel like some of these would just cause lag, if they don't serve a purpose in Minecraft. Before you start with the bat, it actually does serve a purpose, if not for survival players. It's the first flying passive mob, which means a LOT to map makers... Pandas, Foxes , Wombats, and Sloths don't seem to serve any purpose whatsoever (and I don't see any point in breeding them.)

These are unnecessary and we don't need this many ambience mobs. These would go out of place while all current mobs in the game have a purpose, besides bats.

Whaaaaat. Always room for ambience mobs (not really) especially in minecraft.
anyway. I like all these random mobs but they might not all fit right. 76% support

Yes. cause I totally spread gold bars on my toast...
Personally, I think if you gave them some mediocre drops, but UNIQUE mediocre drops, more people would support, as there would be more uses. Also, for those people critising the biomes, those creatures actually live only in that biomr in real life.
