My Avatar is a Dalek, therefor your argument is... EXTERMINATED!!!
You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.
Y'see steve is supposed to not look like any specific race, I mean you cant even tell which race he is for sure! If its really such a big problem then get a skin like every other minecrafter. This isnt an active problem and I feel there would be more controversy (if there was any in the first place) about stereotypicallization with that. For example, how would you do asian without look blatantly stereotypical? Also, People would get really pissed if thir country/ race wasnt in there. For example, what if people want british in there, or irish?
It would raise a lot of speculation if they added races to Minecraft. People would complain that they are too stereotypical or discriminatory. This is one of the main reasons why Mojang choice to add the skin system; a way to customize your character in anyway you want (such as, making a character look like a race, ect.).
Race isn't necessarily visible form a skin, but then again it doesn't matter. Steve has no race or gender, matter of fact Steve was originally called "Player". Nobody plays as Steve though, we all have skins. No support, this was a bit silly.
At the moment Minecraft is racist. No, Steve? is a generic human being. Same with Alex. You are only allowed to be Steve, who is either white or Hispanic, but more likely the latter. No, there are skins. Steve? has no raceI think Mojang should add race selection - the player can choose between these races:
- American Indian
Racial issues are a major problem in society and little kids should not be taught that they can only be one race or gender. Race isn't a problem.Since Minecraft is a kids game, they should be allowed to choose whether or not they are Hispanic. It isn't just a kids game. It is for everyone. It could be a button in the Options menu, or simply in the ESC menu.
This is obviously a required implementation, but one that is debatable is an entire character creation system? You think yours is required? No, it is just a bad idea.Should the players be able to decide if they have a beard, or what clothing they wear? Share your thoughts below. See, there are something called "skins" and you can change your appearance with skins.
