I have thought long and hard about this, and decided that it is a splendid idea. If an iron ingot falls in water, it will turn into rust. If a player wielding an iron weapon, tool, or armor piece falls into water, these will all instantly turn to rust as well. Finally, if an iron block is placed in water, it will turn into a rust block.
Rust is similar to iron except that it breaks after five uses, and if the block is walked on, it will instantly shatter.
This is a great implementation because it can be used for parkour (falling block beneath the players)!
My Avatar is a Dalek, therefor your argument is... EXTERMINATED!!!
You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.
The OP complimenting his own idea? Check.
An idea that adds nothing good at all? Check.
The OP using an absolutely ridiculous and miniscule reason for why his idea is good? Check.
Thread probably not serious? Checkcheck.
What also doesn't help is you making another suggestion where you used a Call of Duty image for a "target finding" thing.

That is a major red flag right there. You just decided it was a great idea? That's nice. What about the other 99.9999% of us?
Also. "Oops, my iron sword just dropped into water because I accidentally slipped and hit 'q'. Oh well, I guess I'd better try to use a sword that has five uses to attempt to take down this horde of zombies!"
Nope. No support. Again, read the damn suggestion guidelines.

It would be a Scarlet dye obtained by cooking an iron ingot for 5 seconds. The result would be 1 Rust.
-----------
If Aluminum is ever added, this would be used to generate Thermite (2x Rust, 1x Aluminum).
When used in a furnace (7.5 seconds, quadruples processing rate during reaction), some bone meal will appear in the fuel input bar (Aluminum Oxide) and 2 Iron Ingots would appear in the output as soon as the bar is cleared from the item originally smelted.
Thermite can also be right-clicked holding 2+ rails to weld the whole stack to compressed double rails. This can be raised to quadruple and Octuple, respectively. These would be placed like Beds. The Thermite is used up after that and the trademark Bone Meal and two Iron Ingots will appear on the ground.
No. I don't like anything made of iron being dropped in water will be rendered useless. But I like the idea and shattering block. You could make it so that you craft it with a water bucket (if anything made of iron was put into water, what would buckets do then?).

No support as I don't like the idea of my items instantly becoming rusted because of water. What about rain? when it rains, your armor and sword/shovel/pickaxe/hoe will instantly rust and only give it five uses which added on to how ridiculous this suggestion is. Iron Golems would become useless because of rust and will probably fall apart. And any iron block used as a decoration would look horrible. You should really think your suggestion out before posting them.
No, this is bad. There are so many people who use iron tools, even if they have chests filled with diamonds. If all of your iron equipment changed into rust instantly, that would cause a whole lot of problems. What if you accidentally dipped your feet into water for a split second? Then everything would be rusted. What if someone pours a bucket of water on a building made of iron? Then the whole building could be griefed very quickly, and be a pain to clean up.
Iron does not turn into rust instantly, and it would be a pain in the neck if you are in PvP. Also, it would be awful if want to use iron blocks when building underwater.
The only thing that I like about this was the features it brings to parkour.

I could not have described this idea any better
I can't think of another signature yet.
This is a really horrible idea, why would I want my stuff to turn to rust when they go in water? This is poorly thought-out and very unbalanced.
No support.
