I think minecraft should have a better injury system so based on were you were you will get different effects.
headshot: take extra damage. Maybe 1 second of blindness?
arms: have possibility of getting weakness for a couple of seconds
legs: have chance of giving slowness
torso: normal damage
explosions would do overall damage. wearing different pieces of armor will negate the effects of being hit example: wearing a helmet will protect your head but not your legs. If another player gets a critical hit on a certain part of your body you will have a better chance of taking the effects of being hit.
one more mini suggestion. Arrows stick properly. I wouldn't even mind if the section were you were hit is were the arrow stuck. It's kinda wierd being shot in the spine and the arrow sticks in the bottom of your foot .-.

Yes. cause I totally spread gold bars on my toast...
I mean, this idea is ok. They really do need to do something about how arrows look in a players body. I don't like anything else presented though and you know why?

This adds realism, while not completely ruining the game. I've seen people suggest ideas that you have to wait for 10 minutes to heal after falling off a cliff.
Support! Combat at the moment is bland (compared to other types of video game combat, not comparing.. but just in general) The only "special" aspect to it is criticals.
Hey maybe there could be different ways to heal you self? Bandages give 1 heart back instead of potions or eating? Still keep the potions of course tho

Support. Also adding different diseases and medicines like morphine. And having blood loss, and bandages. Maybe medical villagers. And infected mobs. Like "Flu Infected Sheep".
Support, it could be like gears were if you headshot someone they're head will explode!

You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.

This is a good idea although this is a kid game, Mojang was on the right track in the adventure update, but it still has some stuff that could be tweaked.
I support the idea, but do have some concern regarding skeletons becoming too powerful as a result. Perhaps it would be suitable for a skeleton's attacks or perhaps arrows in general to have a reduced chance of having the extra effects.
This would change all of the servers/worlds. Imagine KitPvP, hit someone in the head, give them blindness, and then kill them while they can't see. O_O I do support the better armor and the arrows, though.
Half support. (Besides the armor and arrows, it's too OP, and annoying in my opinion. Not a bad idea, though.)

Sword combat is basically who can beat the heck out of each other first. This would make it interesting.
