Hey everyone, I have come up with an idea to improve mob's variety. Mobs can wear certain pieces of armor depending on the mob. Here is a list of mobs and what pieces of armor they can wear;
Collaborative Mob AI

● The only way non-humanoid mobs can wear armor is by having an armored humanoid mob near the non-humanoid mob, implying that a humanoid mob will "help" the non-humanoid mob by giving it a piece of it's armor. Therefore mobs that are naturally neutral towards each other will collaborate with each other.
●Villagers will now give a punch when you attack a fellow Villager.
Armor may have to shape and size itself to fit some of the mobs.

As adorable as it would be to name a bunch of small Slimes and give them all brightly colored Leather helmets, I don't really see why this should happen. It would add a ton of extra work for the developers, I'm counting about 70 new polygons on existing models and almost as many new textures, and a ton of new armor calculation. I suppose it will make everything a big harder to kill, but that sounds like more of a nuisance than anything.

though it is quite a funny idea. it will probably never be a thing in reality unless somone is crazy enough to make it into a mod, and some mobs should not be able to wear armor though like silverfish and squid... i would go to the point of enemy mobbs. tame able and farmable mobs (being: pigs cows sheep and chickens)
It's just meant to be added as a PvM feature and sort of like an Easter Egg feature as well. And there is a mod that armors Creepers and some other mobs: the UCreepingBro Mod (I'm being 100% serious right now, it's the actual name of the mod). And the list doesn't need to be added all at once, Mojang can code it in piece by piece possibly. Just like they did with Giants wearing armor.
Lol maybe Blaze will have trouble flying with a Helmet on, but tell me this then...How can a player still swim with a full set of Golden Armor on? Gotcha there!
Half support. I like all the hostile mobs wearing armor. Then again, it should be more rare for them to spawn wearing armor, since it would be way too much for 9/10 spawned mobs to have armor. For example, the Skeletons and Zombies armor spawn rate would stay the same. For the rarer mobs like the Enderman, Spider, Creeper, etc., the armor spawn rate would be less.
I give partial support because I think the passive mobs having armor is unorthodox. It seems a little much to me. Like I said above, I don't want to see a ton of mobs running around with armor on. To be honest, I'd rather have the mobs in the End and Nether to be wearing armor and the ones in the Overworld without.
Ok, I will update the list! I will remove Silverfish from the list if no one is in approval of it. I thought it would be hilarious to see Silverfish slithering around with Helmets on lol.

Thank you for some ideas, Newt! I like the idea of reducing armor spawn rate of the other armored mobs. Man, it would be intimidating to battle a Charged Creeper in full Diamond Armor! Lol

1- Finish the mod API
2- Give brains to villagers (make em more usefull)
3- Add ambiance: birds, fishes, bugs, crabs on beaches, monkeys in jungles...
4- More plants! Aquatic, any fruit tree, bushes....
