I think adding a few cutscenes here and there would be a nice little touch for gamers who like storylines. HOWEVER, in NO WAY do these cutscenes establish a storyline. They're just there to look cute. Oh, that too. All cutscenes are third person.
Cutscene Ideas:
1. "Workbench": Upon placing your first workbench, you see a sequence where your character looks inquistively at the workbench, pokes it a little, and then stands up a little straighter.
2. "Mining": After destroying your first 20 smoothstone blocks, a sequence activates where you see your character looking around his little cave that he's made.
3. "Bright": Upon the placement of your 5th torch, a sequence triggers where we see the character in the moonlight with an unlit torch in his hand. He seems to be struggling with it, but then it finally lights up and he puts it down.
4. "Boom": After 5 Creepers have spawned in the first chunk, a sequence activates where we zoom out from behind the character, and then the camera zooms towards a nearby above-world creeper. The camera circles the creeper a bit, and then the sequence fades.
5. "Why do they Jump?": After encountering (entering within two spaces of an entity) 40 animals, a cutscene shows us a puzzled character watching a line of cow/sheep/pig/chicken jump in one direction.
6. "Riches": After putting 3 gold ingots in your inventory, a sequence activates where your character dreams about living in a castle made out of gold. Credited to Zygrograxra
7. "Epitome": After collecting one diamond, a sequence triggers where the player holds it out in front of himself and dances around happily. Credited to Bluix
8. "Slayer": Upon killing your 10th ghast, a sequence activates, zooming out from the player, showing him standing on a dead ghast. The player makes muscular motions. Credited to BombJoe.
Cutscenes would be toggleable.
So that's all I have for now, please suggest!
I think you should tie this up with archivements. So at the end of the cutscene, you get a number of items, say 16 torches for placing 5 youve made yourself. (Also, a menu in the main menu should alow you to see what archivements you have, how you got them (and when/what world) and rewatch the cutscene. )

Also, add an option to turn these off.
I don't really like having achievements in minecraft, and I don't think you should be rewarded for watching 20 seconds of cute blocky fun.

No, achievments in minecraft only would be good if they don't give rewards

Now that's a good idea, I would not like seeing the same cutcene that I alredy had saw in other world
Pretty good ideas.
But I have 5 worlds. As the guy before me said, they should automatically be toggled off once you've seen it, and if your friend makes a new world on your account or something and he wants to see it, you can briefly toggle it back on.

Yeah, there's no question that people could turn them on and off. They don't add anything to gameplay, just the experience.
I say yes to this, but it MUST be toggle able.
And each, when found, is rewatchable.
The character would stay in the same place, the game would pause, and a message would apperar

Why do we need messages?Yet, if the cutscenes be cute, i would watch all day and try to get new ones for fun.also add a button in the menu so we can see the cutscene we just unlocked all the day
muncher, did you read this? it's toggle able, in other words, you don't need to watch it.
In fact, all these suggestions you say no to, ESPECIALLY those where you give no reason beyond opinion, you won't need to use them.
And i agree with popitop, except with the GET OUT part, you can stay, just don't go "no," the point of these forums is to ADD to ideas, not smash them into a pulp. don't like it? don't use it. or try to change it. i actually DREAD when i see you posted something.

So I could suggest the most grossly offensive thing to you and when you say you don't like it I can say "Don't us it" or "It's toggle-able"
Because that's all you doing!
Try proving to me why this idea is worth being in the game instead of saying "Wahh wahh wahh stop being mean."
Also to popitup telling me to ignore all the bad ideas on the forums is like putting a gabbering, terrible smelling monkey next to me and saying "If you don't like it just ignore it"
Cutscenes in games always feel very arbitrary and pointless. Why watch my character chasing animals or fighting creepers WHEN I COULD BE DOING IT MY SELF! Pointless.
also something that turned me off about this suggestions is that were just there to look cute. I hate things that are just there to be funny or be cheesy on purpose.
especially the "why do they jump" This seemed incredibly stupid and very immature to me.

It would get annoying to watch a short segment only once?
Also, add an option to turn these off.

put one that when you find you touch it and your hand start to burn
Like, encountering a lava entity?
No, achievments in minecraft only would be good if they don't give rewards

How about, after collecting five cloth blocks there's a cutscene of you chasing sheep around, eventually diving at one near the camera.
The caveman's secret weapon
no, just a lava lake

Excuse me mr.IHATEEVERYTHINGONTHISFORUMGRAAAAH, but if you have no constructive criticism (which you never have anyway) then GET OUT.
