I've looked at his thread, but what I can see is that he's mainly talking about milk as a thrist quencher, not a dispel potion. That's why lots of people do not support his idea. My suggestion is more like a milk potion to remove potion effects from other players or NPCs.

It's not a bad idea and is not op, I mean, in PvP both sides can use it, you can't throw and attack at the same time so that means that you are vulnerable while using but less than a Bucket of Milk, you will most likely remove buffs from yourself and your partners if you are not careful, and in SSP it could be helpful agains Wither Skeletons and Cave Spiders if you use it right, but I don't see it being that good in SSP.
This is a dispel potion, ii wouldn't be very helpful against most of the mobs as only Witches use Good Potions and only a few mobs inflict status.
I agree that it sounds too op in SP, and most players will probably use it in multiplayer only
While it is true that this idea is relatively different from the thread GordionGamer linked, there are at least a dozen suggestions for bottle of Milk and Splash Milk, or using a potion crafted from Milk that does the same thing. So I have no choice but to lock this.

It'd be far quicker to splash everyone with one throwable milk bottle than to give out buckets of milk then have everyone drink.
