I was working on a build the other day that involved using slabs, and I kept accidentally stacking them on top of each other and creating a double slab block. This got really annoying after a while. So, my idea is this, holding down a certain key, such as shift, allows you the option of choosing to break the top half, or the bottom half of a double slab block,This would save you from having to break the whole block, and then replacing the half slab, thus saving a little time.
Thank you ! I though it's another one of the redundant " make all slaps stack on top of each other " suggestions , but Double slabs are 1 block , and you can't break less than 1 block ?!
Being a nerd is nothing to be ashamed of. Nerds rule the world! Who invented the internet? Nerds. Who created personal computers and smart phones? Nerds. Who made every video game you've ever played and ever will? Still nerds. Who sent probes to distant planets? Nerds, nerds and more nerds! I'm a nerd and I'm proud.

I understand what you're trying to say, but Mojang could some how implement a way to detect if a block is placed, or if a slab is placed allowing this idea to be possible.
Oh, and support.
