This needs to be added. Minecraft's not a very logical game (Flying fireball-shooting octopus-like creatures?), but it does have some basic logic to it. If the grown ones burn in the sun, what makes the babies sunproof? Support.

For what they are they are pretty overpowered. It makes since for them to have speed since their decaying muscles are lugging around less weight than the adults do... but they are still an unholy creation and must be purged by the divine light of our golden square in the sky. They need a nerf anyway, which, this wouldn't be a nerf, rather a fix. If the devs want elite zombies give us ELITE zombies not just a smaller harder to hit little turd that doesn't burn. Take a page from the mutant monsters mod and have rare spawn boss like zombies.

Overpowered? they are super easy.
Nothing in minecraft is even close to being overpowered. nothing in minecraft is actually that hard if you have the right gear
They should be kept not-burning in sunlight, at least making the game a tiny bit less easy.
I dont support the OP, and ill be sad if his idea will be implemented :/

It's not that they are over powered. It just makes absolutely no sense that a undead won't burn. Big Zombies burn in sun light, and so do the Skeletons. So why shouldn't the babies burn?
Also I know what to do if they do. You should uninstall Minecraft and never play it again.
I think they should stay the same. The fact that they are fast and harder to fight than normal zombies adds a challenge to going outside at night. But after all, they aren't that OP. Keep a sword on you and have you brightness at bright and you should be fine.
I really don't see how OPness or lack thereof is at all relevant to the issue at hand. Baby zombies not burning is inconsistent. One of the rules of fiction is that you can make any break from reality you want, and as long as that break from reality is consistently applied, willing suspension of disbelief will follow. That undead burn in sunlight is an established part of the Minecraft universe.
If it doesn't make sense that the undead don't burn, why can't zombie pigmen burn? The idea that Minecraft requires engagement to popular belief is a fallacy. The developers may form their own style to suit their game well. Baby versions of an entity that are stronger than the normal ones? Then so be it.
Deaths from baby zombies are a consistent factor due to the carelessness of how they are handled. The only method of encountering them are through night-camping and mining. Do either one before you're prepared with the right gear, and you're a dead man anyway. Of course, the preparation requirements are not equally distributed between the mobs. Some require certain strategies to deal with, others are in necessity of another. However, it is crucial that one does not operate such perfunctory actions which may be followed by their evident death.
With awareness of their existence, you may simply overcome them. No longer are they overpowered if you balance yourself first. Therefore, one of the most significant advice you'll ever receive is protect yourself from the dangers, and earn your way to overcome them. Such includes, building a shelter the first day, searching for superficial caves with iron. Only then may you substantiate that you are superlative to that miniature creature of the undead.
There is a fundamental debate regarding just how much difficulty survival Minecraft deserves. Most will fall under subjective responses, as no one experiences the game the same way. However, it is a common idea to state that a player is decently, if not more, protected with iron armor. Incorporate an iron sword into the synthesis and you're practically set for most of the game.
There's a valid compromise to the overpowered factor of these baby zombies; they are a rarity. Such that they will not be encountered on a daily basis, which allows preparation between intervals of encounters.
Given all the proposed information, the case with baby zombies is easily dealt with avoiding their encounter, and/or being prepared for them. If neither are followed, one can expect to suffer a conspicuous death. Therefore, the nerfing of the baby zombies is not a viable solution as it does discourage awareness in their surroundings; even if it must be in the day.
If they didn't burn in sunlight, the village might getting ruined during daytime.
Nothing to see here~
Yes. cause I totally spread gold bars on my toast...

We need to burn the babies!!
Actually, baby zombies have the same hitbox as adults do, they just have a smaller model. (push f3 + b for proof)
I know, it's a strange world
EDIT: 750th post!!
Constantly evolving, reaching further heights.
Figured it was time for a change.
Im not as addicted as my friends and family wish to believe

Baby zombies are really frustrating and should also burn in sunlight like regular zombies.
