How I found it: I was transporting some villagers in mid day, thinking I was safe from any zombies, and 3 baby zombies ran at me without helmets. I didn't even realize that baby zombies didn't burn in the day. So I went into a creative map to see if it really was true, or if I was glitching. Turns out I wasn't glitching and apparently for some reason baby zombies don't burn in the sunlight.
Why: All mobs considered undead burn in sunlight (unless wearing helmet). So why don't baby zombies? Also it should be very easy to add to minecraft and wouldn't break any immersion or lore. In fact it would add immersion and lore. It would fit in so well that most people already think it is in the game, I was even guilty of it until very recently.
Why Not: Some people don't like the idea of nerfing them.
And a screenshot for the people that can't test if it is true.
You can replicate this very easily just by spamming a zombie egg until a baby spawns.
tl;dr: Baby Zombies don't burn in sunlight unlike normal zombies. That doesn't make sense. Baby Zombies should burn in sunlight light their grown up counterparts.
Thanks for reading
Also if anyone can make a good banner to help spread the word that would be wonderful
why does this bug you so much? let the zambie grow.
it does not grow
That's not a bug. That's the purpose. Zombie babys never grow up, because they are dead, and contain much water making them not burning in sunlight. If you want to spawn a baby zombie, just clik with a spawn egg onto a zombie.
*click and that does not work
No complicated words for needed, this bothered me for so long.
sorry but mojang probobly wont make it so that they burn they are not supposed to
Support. I think they should burn. They're zombies. UNLESS, I am provided with a little proof that Notch gave them a history of being an elite zombie because they are children. If there's no backstory, BURN THE CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!! Zombies. I mean burn the children zombies. SUPPORT
