Exactly. I think it would be a good prototype for an NPC. Not really dangerous on its own, but incredibly entertaining if harnessed by the player. Gremlin powered music machines, anyone?
Hey that's right! They now have Dispensers and Music Blocks to play with! Maybe if they find Music blocks, a pre-made tune starts to play as they mess with it. Maybe a Gremlin can both use and hide in dispensers, making so when it's supposed to fire, a Gremlin pops out. :tongue.gif:

I like the way you think! lol
Maybe if you whack it on the head it could turn into a carryable object. Load those little rascals into a dispenser like you would eggs.
Now, when it comes to pushing buttons here's a thought: If the button is connected in some manner to TNT, have the Gremlin stop, look at the player, point at the button, nod it's head up and down a couple of times, let out a signature Gremlin laugh, then press the button.

Nah, how about it jumps up and down with glee when it in someway sets off TNT.
I love this idea! However, I think gremlins should be able to do some more damage, like remove doors and blocks, and possibly even set fire to things.
I think that wouldn't be good, that'd be more of a Griefer, plus the Gremlins are meant to mess with technology. However, yes there should maybe be a more evil variant along with the more harmless one.
It'd be pretty cool if gremlins would break a window every so often. And I love the idea of them leaving graffiti. I can imagine gremlins re-organising the way your items were put into chests, and maybe even taking items out of one chest and putting them into another. And of course, they'd put your note blocks ever so slighty out of tune.

That's another thing, they could untune your Note Blocks! I can't believe I didn't think about that.
they should start out friendly, but if they find food after midnight, or get wet, then they get a greenish tint, and start messin with stuff. they could be lighter colored, when not evil, i got the idea from the movie 'Gremlins'
i whant them so i can hate them :happy.gif: thay all so look like goblins of WoW for the horde!

So you wake up on a beach one day, and remember NOTHING. (Except your degree teachings in Engineering, Wilderness Survival, Metal work, Physics, Tech, Psychology, History, Dynamics, and Blocks.) You mine and build and survive for years and years.
Is anyone seriously gonna download this as a mod lol
i will

Love it!
Add the crazy laugh, let it drop its hat or goggles when killed (Decoration thing more than anything, as to not make a sport of this cute guy) Iron doors would be a good thing to stop it, as long as the switch wasn't beside it. It would also make a good use for arrow dispensers in your house. Cake should also be something to lure them (loud crunching sounds?)
I've liked all of your ideas, but this one is easily my favorite. If it had an exceptionally good drop (the goggle idea was nice) then it would promote using minecarts/redstone.
Needless to say, I'll have arrows set up to pressure pads on every side of my jukebox. He is NOT stealing one of my diamonds.

Games that are still enjoyed thanks to modding-
Morrowind, Oblivion, Starcraft, Garrys Mod, Half-Life (And thus TF2, Portal, ectectect), ect.
Modability isn't just a word I made up, it's the line between Minecraft being a fad and a cult classic.
It would make things harder in a way that is purely frustrating, not challenging or fun.
It would be fun if that mischief could be harnessed or supressed. Catch the Gremlin, tame it as a companion, or unleash it on your neighbor's redstone calculator :tongue.gif:
honestly... only suggestion i would not like if added... lol because the sound in my game does not work and it destroying my things would suck big ones.
