Another bonus to adding Werewolves to Minecraft is that it gives Mojang a reason to add silver. Not only silver ore but, also Silver Arrows, a special uncraftable Silver Sword, and another possible monetary unit to Minecraft. But, then again, we (or Mojang) would have to think of some good drops for Werewolves and likely make them more imposing than I had first suggested. Maybe even make them like minibosses.

How about when a wolf gets struck by lightning it turns into a werewolf?
I love this idea.

Lois: Together we can do anything: face any foe, overcome any obstacle.
Peter: Yeah, climb any mountain, rent any video, dial any phone. And not just our phone, Lois, other people's phones. Decent phones, God-fearing phones, phones that everybody else gave up on, but we knew better because we were a team!
Brian: What the hell are you talking about?
Yes, I like that idea. Then there would be a chance of them spawning outside at other times besides full moons. I still have no idea for a unique Werewolf drop though.

How about something to brew into a potion? Old stories about werewolves say that they had thick skins, so how about they can drop a hide to brew into a resistance potion? Or something more unique, like....I don't know...moonstone? It could be a grayish whitish meteorite looking item.
The item I first had in mind was a Werewolf Fang. This could be brewed into a Werewolf repelent potion. Or you could use Werewolf Fangs to make poison arrows. Just replace the flint with Werewolf Fangs (or Cave Spider Fangs[another drop idea]).
Another idea that came to my mind was Dark Werewolves. These Werewolves would spawn when a New Moon comes out. But, again, I have yet to think of a useful drop for these guys.

I think we should go with werewolf hide/moonstone. I don see how werewolf fangs can be made into poison arrows. Also, this would add one of the missing potions.

Yes, but, what purpose would Werewolf Hide or Moonstone serve? Though I am a full supporter of adding things for sentimental value; I don't see a logical purpose or use (plus, I don't even know what "Moonstone" is).

A good idea for a drop would be werewolf fangs that like a couple others have said can make potions,AND can be crafted with one stick and one smelted ore type to make a dagger of that specific ore that would be useful in PvP because other players won't see them when you hold them, but only do half the damage of a sword of that ore type. What do you think huh? Was that Creative? It was a horrible pun, I know.
A Werewolf bite typically would cause the victim to turn into a Werewolf (lyncanthropy). But, that would likely not happen in Minecraft, so, I think it would be safe to say it would poison the player OR inflict lycanthropy. Safe to say we should probably stick with Werewolfs dropping Werewolf Fangs, which, would be used to make Poison arrows.
And yes, I am still the Master of Disaster.
I really don't know what to put here...
Okay. I just thought of weretestificates oh god.

Yes, they could be minibosses
during the day, they turn into villagers, and during the night they would be werewolves
They would drop bones, and maybe fur, (for making fur coats). They would also probably give you 8-15 xp when you would kill it.

the idea is redundant, vague and overly suggested, i do not understand why so much exitment from a werewolf suggestion thread.
