This idea was shot down a while ago, but I came up with another idea so I think we should revisit this discussion.
Before people did not like the idea of huge milk falls being created with one bucket of water.
Milk should be 8 layered, like water, but instead when you place it with a bucket, it lays down ONE layer of milk instead of an entire spring block. Each time you fill it with another bucket it raises by one layer, and each empty bucket can remove one layer. Problem solved. :biggrin.gif:
This suggestion has a few issues that would need to be addressed:
[*:yfyiqmnl]If you made it a liquid, how would it interact with the other two fluids in the game? Right now, water and lava are incapable of mixing with each other because they form cobblestone that keeps them separated, or simply destroys the lava source block. It is literally impossible for two liquids in the game to actually mix together with the current engine.
[*:yfyiqmnl]How do you justify a flowing spring of milk in the game world? Springs of lava and water make sense to an extent. An infinite spring of flowing of milk? Not so much.
[*:yfyiqmnl]What purpose would flowing milk serve in the game world? It's only necessary for it to exist in entity form for us to cook with it, it doesn't really need a block form as well.

Could be used for:
>Cake Block
>Hot Chocolate
>Ice Cream
This is worth it.
To have milk flowing from your castle! Why else?

A perfect example of why Horny teens shouldn't be on the interwebs
On a more serious note, Your implementation is flawless, but WHAT exactly would it do? Perhaps slow you down more then water?
Hey, minecraft's a computer game. Half the players are horny teens.
I would have my milk flooded basement and my milk leap of faith pool and milk- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!
Notch, please add this.
