So, I was wondering. Iron for me, it seems , is not as abundant as I would like. So what do you guys think about perhaps buckets being made with different materials, other than iron? We would keep the iron buckets the same, infinite durability, but include these so people can explore water uses earlier. Here's my thoughts, plus some simple diagrams.
Wooden Buckets
[]
[] []
Durability: Good for 25 pick ups of water source blocks. Can not hold lava.
Notes: After 15 uses, the bucket would begin to leak. If the source block contained in the bucket isn't used for a day, then it will "leak out", or disappear. If the person attempts to pick up lava, they will receive damage(Perhaps a heart or two, depending on the difficulty), and the bucket will disappear.
Stone buckets
[]
[] []
Durability: Good for 50 uses. Can hold both water and lava.
Notes: Since smooth stone isn't really used for anything other than buttons or levers (I don't think), this combination could be pretty interesting. It doesn't leak, just has finite durability.
And that's that. Tell me what you think, I'm open to any suggestions to... my suggestion(Wait, what?).
Sorry about that, forgot about those damn bowls. Although I do like the idea of this:

The sticks could work, but I don't think that makes much sense. Then again, it is in a game with exploding phalli (phalluses?) and skeletons that ride giant spiders, so... yeah.

why? as i dont see the point in a mid-stage between wod and iron, maybe im just strange.

that could work too.

Anyway, thanks for the support guys!
[] [] this recipe would allow you to preserve the parallel recipe to the iron bucket.
