Support. I like personalization, but there isn't enough now.
For instance, I wanted to have some zombies when building my massive redstone minecart system, but not creepers, because they gummed up the works. I wanted to not have enemies, but I wanted no health regen so that dying is a risk. For the option to have these options, I support.
I agree with tiscool, My original intent was for an easy+ with no creepers, and a Peacful mode with no regenerating hearts, im glad i have like thinkers :smile.gif:
I would play like this: Only Creepers, high spawn rate, health regen off, short day/night, low monster health, high own health, no monster destruction.
And if I could add my own I would add:
>Creeper terrain damage: Creepers destroy blocks in explosions.
>Creeper mine: Creepers turn all destroyed blocks into an EXACT resource block.
Yea I love all the monsters accept creepers.. They creep me out.. lol
But no seriously.. that one I don't care for. Exploding Monsters.. I am curious who was smoking what when that monster was designed.. hahahahahaha
Considering at the time the game was solely notch's game, that kind of answers itself.
But I like them. In a game where you can change the environment at will, something that obliterates that environment is a very awesome creature. That is why I like the ghasts as well, though they should have the same destructive power as creepers IMO.
There's another option for you:
Ghast Power: How powerful and explosion the ghast's shots have. Can go from nothing to destroying everything but obsidian.

Passive minecrafter FTW.
Hamumu.com, the site I should thank for helping me find minecraft.
I like the idea it should let you chose day/night length separative
like long hardcore fighting nights and short mining and restocking days

ZA WARDO! Toki wo tomare Kurae Roada rollera da... WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Muda muda muda muda muda muda muda muda muda muda muda muda muda muda muda muda muda MUDA Soshite toki ga ugoki desu.
woop a 2 page thread! this is getting good! :smile.gif:
When i first made this topic, i hated creepers, but with the new ai (creepers plan ambushes yay!) i absoloutley love creepers
Anyway, I dont want to mess with the specifics of each individual mob, (thats what the MC mob maker is for - check my siggy to see what im on about) i just want to change the ones that do spawn.
Anyway, please continue your posting! it gives me soething to reply to and keeps the topic bumped :wink.gif:
I would have to support this idea, being that Having the option to chose your own options would be quite nice.
An add-on would be that however you chose whether or not, and in what quantities, monsters and animals spawned, be also dependent on biomes, and perhaps terrain, (spiders & zombies in forests, Creepers in deserts, Skeletons in arctic)
Oh, and even determine the light levels required for spawning.
Hmmm, I can kinda see where your going, but, im not looking into chaning the particular mobs, just the aspects of them (i know, what i just said makes no sense hmmmm....)
I see this as an exploit. Especially with mob tower traps, getting thousands upon thousands of resources because the spawn rate could be turned up. Though that would probably only work best in single-player mode. Luckily for multi-player this would be great for themed servers.

Let's kick ass and eat granola and lucky for you I brought lots of granola
while yes people could possibly abuse it, mods/hacks/peacful mode are already hugley abuseable, sure they could, but its proably less fun to play, so leave them to it.
Use in mulitplayer, would be EPIC i never though about that, thanks for the idea :smile.gif:
Lol. Anyway, this is great. I support.
I recently changed my player skin to Reznov from CoD: Black ops and have often dreamed of fighting off relentless zombies with my trusty bow, picking them off one by one...
Anyway, don't mean to get too technical, but another nice option would be "resistance."
There's the basic meter: health of each mob, to make instakill creepers, or juggerzombies.
Then there is resistance to different elements, such as TNT, melee (sword, axe, FISTS) and ranged weapons (bow and arrow, maybe even damage for snowball. :biggrin.gif:)
Then we could run around with our fists, going Chuck Norris on all of them.
Or be cowards and oneshot them from our sniping towers.
Or set up TNT mines and watch the party begin. xD
There should also be a friendly fire option, which increases or decreases chances of a creeper mistaking a skelly for you. Then you could just camp on your porch and watch them all boom themselves, then stroll out and collect the drops.
Man, by the time we have finished with the options, they will end up looking like the enemy customization options in Halo Reach firefight. :wink.gif:

Actually, that's the best mental image ever. A dying, drowning man stuffing his face from a massive wall of cake, and carving out a monstrous underwater cake picture. I'd pay to watch that irl.
