yea, the glue would connect nearly anything to anything, might refrain from glue on glass though
float sand and normal sand seem to be similar, and since the glue is made for sand / gravel then yes
So would that mean only Gravity Effected blocks? Also, what would be the limitation, because I think if there are enough blocks connected to the block, the glue should wear off, causing the blocks of fall off if on the sides or bottom, and push it down if on top. I am wondering because if so, you could make an entire controllable flying island, fort, or even a hovercraft using a mechanism using FloatStone, SongStone, Glue, Sand and Redstone, but to make the larger ones work with the limit, you'd need to add spaced out layers of Floatstone meaning needing a lot more material for them to work.
EDIT: Also, could glue, when placed on a block, have a stronger effect than Sticky Sand, and being the opposite of the rubber block, making you stick to it instead of rebound?
Ok, heres a new creature. It is a flying neutral mob that can be ridden. They are the 'Cows' of the Aether, and drop a kind of leather that can be used to make Weightless Armor. The armor can be used as an alternative to the boots, and will carry you a farther distance. Note that that model is a WIP, and if it is not liked I will try another mob:
Also, Here is a better render of the Aether Flytrap:
flue would dries out after a minute, you have to place something on it before it drys
also floatsand (when not attached to song stone) would travel the same speed as a boat
when it goes past that speed for any reason you would slip back when in motion and if you are blocked by any wall or such you will start receiving damage, so its not safe
however if seats were implemented than that could allow for a safe trip
We shoot really call it something other than Aether Flytrap. Anyway, I think that it's drop should be seeds to grow your own Flytraps (without the propellors however, as they'd fly away any time an enemy call along). I also think that you should be able to break the propellor pedals off. Breaking them off would stop the Flytrap from chasing you. The Flytrap should only be able to be grown in Daey light levels of light. When flying, I think think it should have it's stem curled up into a coil between the head and propellor, as I don't think it's fly if it didn't. I also think that it should be able to attack while flying, but with worse aim, range and less knockback since it'd be hitting you at a slightly diagonal angle, making some of the force hit you down instead of all of it hitting you forward.
@Andrew:
I think the speed produced by the Songstone should correspond with the whole strength and pitch of the wind it is making, meaning if set up correctly, you could go at good speed. With the glue drying out, would there be any way of keeping it sticky?
I love it! What will you call this so called cow of the Aether? Maybe a Scootwing?
Anywho, glad that you were able to fix the transparency on the Flytrap mob :smile.gif:
Thanks! And the "ScootWing" is a perfect name! Also, I made a Aether Creeper as a joke. (It has wings. Talk about evil.) Anyone have a suggestion for a new mod?

I'm glad you liked the name!! :biggrin.gif:
You mean you made the Aether Creeper?! How about a pic! I wish to gaze upon its almightyness!!! If you want to mod why not help the group trying to make an Aether mod? I'm sure they could use the help making all the mobs! :biggrin.gif:
Here is a link to their thread! :biggrin.gif:

I saw the thread, but I figured that other modelers would already be working on it...
And heres the Aether Creeper Wip (note that this was made from scratch, as I was too lazy to download the creeper model.) Also note that this should never be implemented, as there would be much anger. Made it rather quickly, so its nothing amazing.
GAH THAT IS WONDEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Flying creepers! WHOOT
This should never be allowed into our Minecraftian worlds for it would destroy everything!!! :ohmy.gif:
Seriously though, I like it. :smile.gif: Great work. As for the Aether mod, You could always ask and see if they need more help. :smile.gif: I'm sure they would be happy to have you!

when you connect a block to it the glue would be perma (unless its like sand and you make it fall)
glue on a exposed surface however cannot be perma sticky and it will require another layer of glue to make it sticky again

I see, but non-gravity effected blocks cannot stay with Floatsand when attached with Glue?

This would be a good idea to get to it. If the ocean is put in, there should be atlantis on the bottom of one of the really deep areas.
There are tons of sharks that will attack you but it's worth it. If you mine one of the glowing green blocks that you find, you get a green block that if you place it on land, it disintegrates. You put it in a furnace and it changes color to yellow and also turns liquid. Once you get enough you can put it in a portal-looking doorway made of shark bones. It shines the city of atlantis in the doorway. You walk through and.....
TAADAA your in Aether!!! I don't know if you have already decided on a way to get to Aether, but this idea also makes oceans more than just water sitting there doing almost nothing.

I own you with 7 kinds of win.....now it's on like DONKEY KONG
Ok, I've made two air mobs, so time for a ground mob:
This is also a WIP, and I have no idea what it could be used for...
Cheers!
It could be used for it's Horns. It's Horn could be used to craft a Horn instrument that when blown causes a wave to come out of it. This wave does nothing to no one, but allows for an echolocation effect. Picture the goggles from Splinter Cell Conviction without the fuzzyness, seeing through walls and highlighting enemies. However, the pulse is still there, and will temporarily show your surroundings. The pulse dissipates as it goes further, until it is gone. Very useful for nighttime when you have no torches. Sorry if no one understands this, as I suck at word choice most of the time.

everything can attach to anything, the only limitation is glass, no sticky on glass
glue on a exposed surface however cannot be perma sticky and it will require another layer of glue to make it sticky again

oh yeah, it will stick no matter what, but the player will start to slide off the platform if its going too fast (probably because of the songstone boosters)
I was looking at the beginning of the thread on the OP, and I saw the glider concept. What better way to show my appreciation then to make it?
I've never made so many models this quickly! The minecraft style is so easy!
Good? Bad? Improvements?
Nice. I think a Glider would actually be a reasonable way of navigating the Aether, as you could only do it during the Day if you don't want to crash it would only be useful on getting from a higher island to lower island unless you can hit an up draft to reach a higher island, and the wind would screw up your directions. Completely balanced.
@Andrew
Is there a limitation to how many blocks can be stuck to one block? And by this I mean, if you connect a Cobble Stone block with glue to a Floatsand block, and then keep attaching blocks wihout glue to that Cobble Stone block.

You screwed up on the quote a little, but what I am asking, is when the block is stuck to Floatsand, will it still stick to it while it is moving?
I've never made so many models this quickly! The minecraft style is so easy!
Good? Bad? Improvements?
so yes, the blocks will still stick
