Basically, a 1x1 block that is hollow on the inside that can hold water or lava and allow the liquid to flow through it. It would function like mine tracks, where if you put two pipe blocks right next to each other, they automatically connect. I want both a pipe block made of glass, and a pipe block made of iron/stone.
Otherwise pipes have to be 3x3.

Perhaps piping allows longer travel of liquids, than what could be achieved if you use what we have now for pipes?
They could be placed in an area that's towards the center of a block (positioning), and constructing more waterslides, farms, etc etc could yield much more clean and constructed building results!
Pipes could be used to direct flowing things - at the end you'd probably need a pump, not entirely sure how the pump would work exactly. That or we can just have anything in the pipe automatically flow regardless of gravity at least for the time being.

I agree.
the liquid inside the pipe would act sort of like creativeliquid and travel infinantly ONLY while inside the pipe, but as soon as it leaves the pipe it acts like alpha.

With this block, using lava to light up a room will be considerably easier and more aesthetically pleasing.
