Gunpowder - Can be placed on ground by right click like redstone dust, makes ground flammable. If left to sit in chest/furnace/workbench/satchel/own inventory/dropped/placed on ground without being crafted into TNT (or anything else) for multiple nights, the powder can 'Hatch" (disappear) from inventory and spawn a creeper nearby. Chance of creeper spawn is calculated each night at midnight. % = [(.1 on easy, .15 on normal, .2 on hard)] x [total GP] (stack of 64 GP = 12.8% chance on Hard) each GP that has been dropped or placed on the ground will have a 1%, 5%, or 10% chance on Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulty respectively, of spawning a creeper at midnight.
Bones - Can be used in place of sticks for all crafting recipes other than fishing rod and bow. No advantages, just alternate in case sticks aren't available.
[anchor=Other]This[/anchor] thread was originally suggesting that the height of fast clouds be moved to match that of fancy clouds. It's annoying when you're planning to build something at cloud height and it's going to not look right depending on which version you're using. It got no response (that's right, folks, even people with not just 1, but 2 suggestions in the top 10 for replies and views can end up with a couple of flops) So I decided I would compile a big overarching list for what changes I want to see to Minecraft. If I can get into modding, i plan to work my way through all of these:
Event Triggered Enemy Spawnrate Increase:
Beginning - ONLY ONE Zombie spawns each night.
First Weapon/Tool Crafted - Zombies begin to increase in numbers with each passing day, first increasing overall number of spawns per night, then gradually increasing the likelihood of multiple zombies. Rate of increase and upper limit is based on difficulty.
Player has gathered 2 or more Flint, Sticks AND Feathers - Spiders begin spawning, at first only one each night, but each week the spawn will increase. Gathering more Flint, Sticks and Feathers will also increase Spider Spawn rate (larger stacks of all 3 = increased spawn rate on spiders) Rate of increase and upper limit based on difficulty.
Player has killed a spider - One skeleton spawn per night. This will not increase with time. Each additional piece of string gathered will increase the number of skeletons that can spawn each night. Crafting the bow will allow skeleton spawn rate to increase with time. Crafting arrows will further increase the spawn rate of skeletons. Rate of increase and upper limit based on difficulty.
Player has placed a furnace, chest, Minecart/Tracks OR Door - Creeper begins spawning. Each Creeper death (whether by kamikaze or otherwise) will increase the spawn rate. Spawn rate will also increase slowly over time. Rate of increase and upper limit based on difficulty.
Spider Jockeys will only appear after both Spiders and Skeletons are active AND the player has either found, crafted, or used a saddle.

Reduce bare hand range to 2 blocks instead of 3. Regular tools still have range of 3, but hand tools still have range of 2-2.5. Enemies now have attacks that extend their range up to 3 blocks(bumping into you for damage still happens, but occurs at 2 blocks instead of 3)
New Key (Middle Click = Quick Item):
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52040
Overworld View - When used, will switch the player to the last item in their quickbar that they left/right clicked while holding.
Inventory View - When an item is selected from the quickbar/crafting grid, moving mouse scroll up will incrementally pick up more of the same item from the inventory until the stack is full, drawing from the nearest to empty stacks first. Mouse scroll down will incrementally drop that stack back into the inventory, filling up the nearest to full stacks first before starting a new stack. Pressing Middle Click will transfer the entire stack. The reverse is true when selecting an item from the inventory to move to the quickbar.
Chest View - Follows the same rules as Inventory View, but will transfer the items from Quickbar/Inventory to Chest, or from Chest to Inventory.
Left Click = Butt hit. Use Item as fist for no durability loss.
Right Click = Use Item's unique ability; Place Blocks, Till Soil, Fire Bow, Mine Ore, Change Arrows, Swing Sword, etc

Exact same as current Minecraft Axe, but can be used as a weapon without incurring double durability.
Shovel:
Same as regular shovel, but recipe is changed.(not for combat)
Superbiomes:
Fissure - deep crack sheer crack in terrain that extends completely to bedrock (lava at bottom?) and can span multiple map chunks across
Ocean - as seen in oceancraft thread.
Special Biome features:
World Tree - Tree that is dozen of blocks in diameter and extends completely up to ceiling height. (Golden apple hidden amongst the leaves?)
Glacier - Completely made of snow blocks, ice, and snow covering. Found in water, tall mountains.
Volcano - mountain with tube of lava at core.

Moon - Giant Enemy Mob Spawner. Accessed through Horizontal Portal, Activated by having unobstructed view of moon at midnight. Moon has no day (only stars visible) Player is on far side of "moon", so minecraft overworld can't be seen. Blocks consist of gravity altering blocks (reduce gravity, change gravity direction) and mob spawner blocks. Water instantly evaporates, Lava instantly cools to Obsidian. Fires cannot be started, Gravity is reduced in general. Getting back to overworld requires finding mob spawn input to be teleported back down to overworld. Crafting Input and Output Mob Spawners allows them to be connected. Left click with input/output spawners will punch, but also switch between which will be used with right click. Right click places. Unassigned mob spawners will only work through this method and unassigned mob input will randomly teleport the player to the overworld. Mob Spawners/input cannot be placed in Nether or Aether.
Herd Guardian Mobs -
Bulls: Protects Cows, Neutral until attacked or herd is attacked.
Boars: Protects Pigs, Neutral until attacked or herd is attacked.
Cocks: Protects Chickens, Neutral until attacked or flock is attacked.
Rams: Protects Sheep, Neutral until attacked or herd is attacked.
Kraken: Protects Squid, only spawns to attack when squid are attacked.
