here's my idea... at the main menu there are 4 selections. Normal, Desert, Mountain and forest.
Forest:
Basically the exact same thing as the normal world but a little more flat and without beaches. (they would be more like lakes)
Mobs in Forest: All the same as original but with bunnies and dear (peaceful)
Desert:
Sand everywhere, only small hills here and there... some rock piles in random areas. every once in a while you find an oasis with water, trees and animals.
Mobs in desert: Coyotes (at night), Cougars (or another big cat), Elephant (peaceful until attacked), Snakes (Day, will attack if disturbed, Poison) and other animals (open for suggestion)
Peaceful Mode: No cougars or snakes and health regenerates
Easy Mode: Animals do small amounts of damage and health regenerates (very slowly)
Normal Mode: Animals do normal damage, health does not regenerate.
Hard Mode: Animal attacks are deadly, health does not regenerate.
Frantic Mode: Animal's attacks are deadly, Health does not regenerate, Energy depletes (You must slow down and cannot jump until recharged) Survival Bar ( Must drink water every so often as this bar slowly goes down. When Empty you will slowly lose health and eventually begin to pass out.)
Mountain:
Very Hilly And snow-capped mountains everywhere. Trees only at bottom of mountains (as well as lakes)
Mobs in Mountain: Bunnies (at bottom of mountains), Bears (everywhere, will attack), Dear (At Bottom and lower half), Mountain lions (Everywhere, Rare, will attack) Big Horned Sheep (Top half of mountains, Will only attack if you go within 2 blocks of it or if attacked first. Attacks Push player back 2 squares.)
Peaceful Mode: Animals do Very low damage, No Mountain Lions, Health regenerates.
Easy Mode: Animals do Low damage, Health regenerates (very slowly)
Normal Mode: Animals do Normal damage, no health regeneration
Hard Mode: Animals do Lots of damage, No health recharge
Frantic Mode: Animal Attacks are Deadly, No health recharge, Energy Depletes (for description read Desert), Survival Bar: You must Have fire every so often or this will go down and you start to lose health, you can also wear Padded Armor which is made of fur from bears and Wool from Big Horned Sheep)
