Well I was watching Storm Chasers and it got me thinking, what if there were environmental factors such as tornados, or torrential downpours, that affected the game for a short period of time. A light rain might make puddles that would dry up afterwards, torrential downpours could cause floods which would wreak havoc on smaller homes, lightning could catch things on fire, but you could use electric-conducting towers to target lightning away from your house, as well as conduct electricity, Tornados could strip down a tree, and cause issues for unprotected developments, you could toggle the possibility like you can difficulty, to where its more likely or it doesn't happen, it would present a whole new challenge on engineering for people looking for some challenge, and it could also be used for new feats such as filling ponds without buckets, and irrigating it to where ever youd like, as well as powering homes on lightning, or possibly creating traps, because metal thats conducted electricity could hurt
