Cool, maybe someone should go to IRC and tell Notch about this idea?
Lets get the press on this!
On topic: New creature im about to edit into the OP. The Bleak.
The bleak is like a necromancer's pet. Instead of giving you love and joy, they give you a slight, slight, mining speed buff, about .05 of a second taken off of mining, stackable up to .15 of a second taken off. They also slow down the blood meter by 2% each, up to 12%. They are slower than the player, making them a pain for transporting, but have slight ranged combat abilities (energy ball shot from crystal, less damage than arrow while at same time less frequent). Recipe:
As you can see, they require hell stone, and the new blood tome. Should they be added to Op?

~ I've thought about the phrase 'Money is the root of all evil' and I have to disagree. Evil isn't dependant on an object. I say that want is the root of all evil.
Are you saying minecraft shouldn't have zombies and skeletons?
have u seen any magic in resident evil or such ? plz, stop giving such a silly arguments. it was said many times - no magic
Boy, won't you feel silly when you realize we have portals to hell.
Also, Notch confirmed that redstone is magic and not electric.
We already have magic.
on the minecraft wiki there already is a kind of RuneCraft addition, mayby you can make it like that, and not just always implent it in minecraft. just for people who DO want to download it and for people that dont. like you dont have need for those things, but you DO have need for arrows, it will be annoying that they drop soul kristals.
but is surely is a LOVELY idea!
Thanks for your input. Most of the drops require you to use the sacrificial knife to drop, and the soul crystal could be crafted into a glowing block, so it wouldn't really get annoying. I can see what you mean in that it isn't really a central gameplay element, though ( I think) it does have wide enough uses to warrant it being in the game.

I like the new monster, although I feel the necromancy table to be clunky, it should look aesthetically better somehow.
Its exterior or its menu?

Ah, well the only issue with that is that i've got tons of pictures up. I've got a color-pallet redo at the bottom of this post, but anything major, and it would just be better to use the alchemy table.
This too much?

Necromancy sounds cool, But I think the dagger should be made of obsidian, not only to force you to start it later, but also because other cultures like Mayans used ritual daggers made of obsidian. Neat idea.
Alchemy:
Redstone, alchemy, magic and Minecraft's "pseudo fantasy" world: "I think the Redstone Dust (which is, and always has been the official name for the red stuff) fits fairly well with the pseudo fantasy theme of Minecraft, and it will certainly have more uses in the future, mainly for alchemy and possibly other forms of magic."
Alchemy will have an hexagonal crafting table: "When I saw the hexagonal alchemy table thing, when you have the six and slot the middle, I just fell in love with it. So alchemy is definitely going to have a crafting table like that."
Alchemy: "Oh, yes! Absolutely!"
He later refers to magic as Alchemy, he actually doesn't say much about enchanting.
Magic and enchanting: Magic and Enchanting are planned but he hasn't really worked out any details yet, which is why we don't know anything about how it'll function. Also, a direct quote: "I'm thinking you find ingredients by killing monsters (harder to farm), then you assemble them with some kind of alchemy, and attach it to items that decay when you use them. So if you manage to get a Sword of Being Cool +2, you might still want to avoid it because of the damage thing. Hopefully it's fun."
(the post's qoute also explains why quill was suggesting I use that crafting table, instead of necromancing table [which makes sense to me now :biggrin.gif:])

he said no "war" magic, like fireballs and stuff, he might do enchanting and alchemy though
No, i think he said no magic at all. Alchemy, i believe he said yes, enchanting no.
Proof of this concept please? Make it well analyzed though.
