When opening a chest and moving large amounts of objects between a chest and your inventory, it can become incredibly tedious. Move over the 15x64s of building materials and 10 shovels. It's not horribly agonizing, that's not what I am saying; but it can definitely be improved.
Thus, I suggest the option to Ctrl+Click objects! Instead of clicking, holding, dragging, then releasing the object in the desired spot, we can simply hold control and click. The object will appear in the top-left-most spot of the opposite holder. This will massively streamline the process of moving materials between the inventory and chests.
I'm no programmer, but it doesn't seem like it would be hard to implement either.
use "sneak" or "jump" buttons if you absolutely need to, or middle click, since it's not doing anything. Why add new buttons to the mix when there are buttons already there that aren't doing anything?

The jump button is an action button, not a modifier button. Sneak is a "more careful" modifier, not a "do it really fast" modifier.
Plus, ctrl is the standard in other games.
What we really need is a "dump all like this" button - if the chest contains dirt, sand, and pork, pushing that button puts all your inventory dirt/sand/pork into the chest, but nothing else. Items are placed to the right of the item already in the chest. The reverse button will fill inventory resources up to 64.
jump is an action button when you don't have an inventory/chest/furnace/workbench thing open. Once you have that inventory screen pop up, both sneak and jump are fair game for whatever is convenient for them to be used for.
Minecraft must NOT turn into the next WoW or Runescape.
