First off, I don't mean something like a real trap. At least, not right now.

I propose a type of "door" in the ground, that looks similar to this,

Basically, it functions like a door, but it is in the ground and only requires a 1x1 space in the ground to place. Under it you can have ladders leading down to your mine or basement.. or not..

Anyway, post feedback, critique and/or support.

Has been suggested and it most likely going to be implemented.

Eh, I used search bar, only came up with redstone stuff.

That's because everyone wants trapdoors to be redstone activatable. Ithink notch has confirmed these, but you'd have to ask mr.torus.

Obviously doors like this could function like a door as well as also being functional with redstone. Like the current wooden doors.
But yeah, I'm sure this sort of thing will most definitely be implemented soon.
