UPDATED 11/6:
First forest intro and loop. What would be nice is if when entering a biome, it would play a 10 second biome specific theme. Then minutes after, it would trigger the biome specific loop. The two forest pieces are examples of biome specific music, these are just rough drafts until I finalize the over-all music theme I'd like every biome to follow as a guideline. For the next update: Desert Biome and Cavern Biome specific music. Wait till you see what I have in mind for the Slip/Nexus/Hell/The Nether Region
Wow, that is really good. Well done. But remember to keep it calm all the time (unless its action music), you kind of changed it half way on the Sunrise one. The title fits well but maybe more of a fading ending. You ended it pretty fast.
Thanks! Yeaah I figured not all would appreciate it. I sort of had the faster pace there because I usually run out and start harvesting/building frantically when the sun comes fully out.
The next two sunrise pieces are going to be very calming and zen-like throughout.
This makes me think that biome specific music would be great. Oh by the way I like this better than the current music in some ways. The only issue is that if it is just background music, it shouldn't be overpowering. For a title piece it can be more bold, but for background, lay off the intense parts. The first piece I thought would be great for beach and island areas. The second one would be great for temperate forest areas(fairly flat with trees and mushrooms and a few flowers). But redo it so that it is gentler and get rid of that tinking metal sound, I didn't like that one part.

So you say 1.4 is fail because you don't know how to update your server? WTF
Thats like saying all cars fail because you don't know how to put gas in them.
Yeaah I was never sure how the current music system works, but I do notice that music generally does start playing when the sun rises. And dungeon music kicks in when you stumble into a generated cavern.
I'm taking all your feedback into account for my future creations. Keep it coming!
If he doesn't though I'd love to see them in a mod.
I think it would help with a total conversion mod to separate it from the main game more. I don't actually have the ability to listen to the music right now but the other comments seem positive - I'm sure its really.
Like Runecraft seems to get a lot of popularity, if they decide to go a different route than Notch wants to go (like a complex Stat system or something) then I could see them using different music.
Oh god, just promise you won't waste beautiful music like this on a WoW mod. :wink.gif:
It means a lot to me that you referred to my pieces as "beautiful." I've already emailed Notch, hopefully he takes notice and is at least interested in my other upcoming pieces.

Oh no, I wasn't suggesting the loop be played over and over. It should be spaced out with silence for at least five or six minutes. These "loops" are just the objects that will play after periods of silence.
What I'm getting at, is that there would be three different loops per biome that would play at random in intervals like how it currently is.

I'm definately on the same page as you.
Wait till you hear my upcoming ones.. Does anyone here know how to get in touch with Notch? I'd love to apply to be one of his music producers
